Anna
I flopped back on the couch, my book falling on my face. I decided that to pass the time, I would reread one of my strategy books. However, I kept rereading the same page over and over again because all of my thoughts were filled with my fiancé.
I rolled over and clutched a pillow, burying my face in it. "I miss him so much..." I groaned, my voice muffled by the pillow. To think, right now he could have been sitting next to me while I read; playing with my hair and bothering me in that adorable way he does.
I sat up with a sigh and looked out the window...er, tried to look out the window. The fridged cold air caused the windows to frost up, making it almost impossible to see out of. I raised my arm to clear the clouded glass, but I stopped midway.
Instead, I placed my finger on the cool surface and began to draw little hearts. I smiled. It was childish activity, but I enjoyed it. I remember the first time I ever did this... I thought to myself, my smile growing wider.
"Woah! Chrom, look!" I called for my best friend to come over to the window.
"What is it?" he asked as he approached.
"Look what I can do!" I traced a smiley face on the window.
Chrom let out a laugh and sat down next to me. "Everyone can do that, Anna!" he smiled. "Have you never drawn on frosted glass?"
I turned to him, a lock of my hair falling in front of my eyes. "Not that I can remember..." I blew the hair in hopes that it would fall back into place. My efforts were in vain.
Chrom reached out and tucked the hair back for me. My whole body flushed with warmth at his touch. His hand lingered on my cheek for a brief moment; then, he slowly pulled back. "Right. Sometimes I forget that you can't remember doing some things, no matter no trivial they may be." He ruffled my hair. "Even though they are extremely childish."
"Hey! Stop it!" I grabbed his arm and frowned. "I'm not a little kid!"
"Well, who's the one drawing on the glass and thinking it's the coolest thing ever?"
I crossed my arms and turned away from him with a humph; returning to my work on the window and completely ignoring him.
He tried to get my attention a few times, but I just pretended like he didn't exist. Moments later, I looked to my side and saw the message "I'm sorry" written on the glass.
I tried my best to hide my smile. "Now who's childish?"
Chrom rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Do you forgive me?"
I laughed and wrote "Yes" on the glass.
"Ugghh...I just want to be with him this holiday, is that too much to ask?" I groaned, pressing my forehead against the frosty pane. A chill shot through my body and I immediately backed up. The sight before me made me blush.
I wrote "ChromxAnna" over and over during my daydream along with many more hearts.
"Hey, Anna! We're about to make lunch, you wanna join?" Sumia asked as she waltzed into my study.
I let out a yelp and quickly wiped away my messages. "Y-yeah! Sure! Be right there!" I said, my voice cracking.
Sumia gave me a strange look, then left.
I looked outside one more time. Small snowflakes were beginning to fall from the sky. Sighing, I stood up and followed Sumia out of the study.
