Stitches- Shawn Mendes • Since u Been gone- Kelly Clarkson

I woke up to a plain room that smelled of rubbing alcohol with wires sprouting from me. I look around and my foot throbs. "Ughhh," I groan.

"Oh you're awake," Claire exclaims rushing to my side. The nurse my mom was talking to tends to my vitals to make sure everything had returned to normal. "Your father was able to drop by, but he had to go back to the firm ten minutes ago." She sits next to me holding my hand.

"Where'd all the boys go?" I realize. "They had to go back to the hotel and sleep for the show today despite Brady's protests." Claire smirked. I look at my phone Thursday, August 3.

Wow, that means I slept all night after my surgery.

I glance at my foot which was resting on a cushion and wrapped in a bandage. "How long will I be stuck like this?"

"Doctor said you can get out today, but stitches won't come out for a month at least and no walking on it for two weeks." Mama gave a weak smile. I frown realizing I'll be starting the dance season late.

"Do you think I'll be able to go to the show?" I wasn't planning on telling the boys and then surprising them. "I don't see why you couldn't, but you will have to use your crutches. "That's fine, I want the boys to know I'm okay."

I was able to check out of the hospital about twenty minutes later and received a pair of crutches. I figured out how to use them quickly and we were home by 2:00.

The biggest struggle by far was me trying to shower and dress without increasing the pain in my foot.

Soon enough we made it to the venue and Claire helped me to the doors. Luckily when we arrived Devin and Jay were outside meeting some fans and they were able to sneak us inside early. "Wait where's Brady? I want to surprise him when he performs." "Oh he should still be in hair and makeup right now, so you probably won't see him til the show starts," Devin calculates. "Perfect."

"How's the foot?" Jay asks examining my bandage. "Okay," I sigh," I'm fine but won't get the stitches out for a month or so."

"That sucks G, but at least you have a good guy to help you around," He replies with a side hug.

I smile at the thought and take a seat on the backstage couch waiting for the show to start. When the boys did their songs I just stood backstage since it would be awful to have crutches in a vicious crowd. I was very careful in staying out of Brady's path, but I did wish all the other boys luck and they helped me stay hidden.

Brady's band did amazing and had a ton of cool tricks. They did a cool jump in the beginning and fell into the crowd at the end. After their feedback the guys came my way to get to the dugout.

I was propped excitedly in the wings when Brady came back still hyped. He almost didn't see me, so I might've stuck my crutch out for him to see, but of course with him being Brady he tripped and fell into me almost knocking me over.

He looked up and was apologizing when he finally realized it was me. I watched as his face lit up and his eyes became more vibrant before he embraced me and nuzzled his head into my neck. "Oh my god you're okay? And you're here and wow. Wait how's your foot? Do you need me to pick you up? Is it hurting still? What about the stitches, you really shouldn't move your foot if you can help it that way it can-" I cut him off with a kiss which he gave into easily and I brought up my hand to cup his cheek when

*BAM* my crutch falls to the ground causing me to hop on my standing leg head butting Brady in the nose. "Ugh, haven't done that before," Brady speaks holding his nose.

"Well I guess you could say I'm still getting used to the crutches," I say skillfully bending over and grabbing the annoying stick. Once we return to reality we realize all eyes were on us and the guys were taking advantage of the situation of course.

"Wow I never knew me and crutches had something in common; we both like to interrupt Brady and Gen," Sergio laughs.

"Come on man, I really thought you were catching on to this whole "being smooth" idea," Chance pats him on the back.

"Well... nice to know you guys are all good now," Coleen laughs.

"No way! Mrs. Tutton how are you?!" I gobble over to her. "Now Gen, just because we haven't seen each other for a year or two doesn't mean you have to get all formal with me," She smiles. "Right, sorry Coleen. Ugh wow I missed you," I sigh into her hug. "And I missed you thanks a lot to Mr. "it's not a stage, mom"." I laugh and smirk at Brady as his cheeks flushed. "Yeah, but it's no big deal, and I'd say he made it up to me yesterday having taken such great care of me." "Oh thank goodness you're alright, I heard it was a stressful situation." "Yes ma'am, but I'm all taken care of now, so no worries." She smiled at Bray and looks at me again before whispering to me," He's so happy you're okay again. Please don't let him ruin it for himself again." "I wouldn't dream of it," I grin seeing the blonde dancing around with all the others.

He notices my stare and dances over before giving a peck on the cheek, "Sushi?" he suggests. "Sushi." I smile.

A/n: Sushi. Now that her foot is settled I have no freaking idea what I'm gonna do. Supposedly the boys are in breakup week, but just for an ideal timeline. So I get off this cruise soon, but that means makeup work! So updates will come even slower :(, buttt hopefully I can pre-write a few and update everyday, or every other day. Debating on a new story sometime soon.... :) and yes it would be an IRL fic for sure.
