Too good at goodbyes- Sam Smith • Don't forget where you belong- One direction

I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring, 2:30 my phone read. Our plane boards at 5:42. In two hours and twelve minutes, I'll be a Cali girl. It's always been my dream to go to college and live in California, but not without Brady. We were supposed to go
together.

"Come on Bray," I sighed trying to separate myself from his embrace. We somehow ended up spooning last night, I'm not complaining though. "G, let me just have this last moment with you," he kisses the top of my head. We stayed like that for maybe 15 minutes before the door opens. "Aw, you may not see it, but my heart is crying," Ryan says at the sight. "Also, I hate to be the one to tell you, but you gotta get ready."

We sit up and I face him. He wasn't crying, but I could tell by the shade of blue his eyes were that he was upset. We got ready quickly, with small talk and long embraces.

The car ride to the airport felt shorter than ever, in a blink we were there. The Tuttons helped us with all of our bags as we got checked in. They were able to come with us to the gate since we told security we were 'family'.

We sat hand in hand just taking in our surroundings and trying to not overthink our situation. 5:38, four minutes left.

"G, what do you think will happen?" "Well, I'm going to get on this plane and soon enough you're gonna get discovered and be in LA with me," I said with a hopeful smile. "Of course, but what if this is it." "Brades you already know what I have to say to that." "Everything happens for a reason.." he mocks me. I stay silent realizing what if we're being separated for a reason. I grow teary eyed and tell him," Well, if it's not meant to be, then somewhere out there is something better waiting. My lip quivered at the thought of Brady holding someone else. "Flight 287j to Los Angeles is now boarding," we snap back to reality. I go around to each of the Tuttons hugging and thanking them for all they've done for me, and lastly I rounded back to Brady. "Listen to me," he said," There's so much waiting for you out there and you can't let second thoughts about me get in the way. You're too amazing to be hidden anymore G." Wiping a tear off of my face I say, "Bray, I'll see you soon, and you'll forget about me, but at least know that I really do care you and wish we could have figured this out sooner."

"Last call flight 287j to Los Angeles," the speaker interrupted. "I love you," I say pecking him one last time. "See you soon superstar, I love you." And that was the last I heard of Brady Tutton. I walked toward the annoyed flight attendant before remembering, "B, look under your bed for monsters," I winked. He gives me a confused look, but I turn and go down the runway to the plane.

It wasn't until I was listening to sad music and raindrops fell upon the plane window that I had realized my harsh reality. It's in the middle of July and I'll have three weeks to settle in, make friends AND go to school. My thoughts continued to take over all logic and reasoning, which gave me a headache, so I fell asleep.

I woke up at 7:36 to see passengers taking their turns out of the plane. My phone was loaded with notifications, but the only name I wanted to see wasn't there, Brady Tutton. I mean he was already up and it was nine o'clock at home er- his home. I understood we would drift apart, but so soon?

A/N: WOW THAT WAS A SHITTY CHAPTER, I'M SO SORRY. I dropped my phone in a sink while washing my hands so it was just done for for like 24 hrs and I had a drama competition and a swim meet, so busy weekend.  I wrote it like 20 times bc it wasn't saving on my iPad, but luckily I was able to get a new phone (bless you apple care) and the 8 IS SO COOL.
