A half day goes by, I continue to struggle and try to figure out a way out of these bonds but nothing is working. I hear the window open and I look over. It's Maja. I have never been so glad to see her.
"That didn't go according to plan," she comments as she pulls the gag out of my mouth and then a bobby pin out of her hair and works on picking the locks
"You could say that," I reply sourly. "I'm beyond glad to see you. But wait... you knew she was reporting back to Sung since you've been spying on him and you didn't tell me?"
"There's nothing in my job that required me to tell you anything," she replies. "You should've made sure she was doing what you were paying her to do."
"Thanks for the help," I mutter under my breath.
"I can just leave you," she says as a bond comes loose.
"Please get me out of here," I reply. "So why are you helping me now?"
"Because I still have the hope of you becoming an Assassin and it'd be a shame for someone like you, who is definitely going to make an impact in this world whether you become an Assassin or not, to die now," she replies.
"Thank you?"
"You're welcome," she replies and my arms are free. I stretch out and hiss in pain as the feeling returns to my arms
"Do you know where Mali is?" I ask.
"He hasn't moved her room, if he does she'll start asking questions he doesn't need," Maja replies. "You're not still going on with this are you?"
"Now is the best time," I reply. "He thinks I'm chained to a bed slowly dying. Even so, he'll be more careful tomorrow when I wrote to Mali that I'd be getting her out so if I strike before then he won't be expecting it."
"She has no idea that you're coming," Maja says.
"Doesn't matter, she'll come with me," I reply. "She wants out."
My legs are freed and I stretch them.
"You're lucky I decided to help you," Maja says.
"I know and I really do appreciate it," I reply as I get up. I pull on clothing and say "I need to move. Are you going to help me?"
"I've already helped you too much," Maja replies. "But I can wish you good luck."
I nod once in understanding before leaving the room through the window. The bartender knows my face and knows that I didn't leave the room last night so he'll probably tell Sung if he sees me leave. I move quickly through the city, making sure to keep my face covered in case anyone who'd recognize me won't.
I go to our room and change into my armor and arm up. Then I head out to the mansion. I have my plan and it shouldn't be too much different now. I enter the mansion grounds by climbing the fence and jumping over. I quickly crouch slightly to help blend in. I move towards the mansion while making sure to stay in the shadows.
I make it into the mansion and I keep in the shadows as well. I quickly move through the mansion while keeping a sharp eye out for slaves and occupants. I make it Mali's room and I'm a bit uneasy that it's too easy to get here.
I listen at the door to see if anyone is in there with Mali. I don't hear any voices and I enter. Mali turns and looks at me in surprise.
"What are you doing here?" She asks.
"Getting you out of here."
"My family-"
"He doesn't know where they are and even if he did Kong is taking them to a safe place," I reply. "I might of had a run in with him and he admitted that he never knew where your family was. I can get you out of here."
