Chapter Three

"Blair, is this really the example you want to set for Jayden? What would James do in this situation? Better yet, what would he tell you to do?"

-Officer Tetsu Trudge to Blair Willows on the Dark Signers

Crow goes on to explaining what Yusei told him about a group of individual called the Dark Signers and how they want to take over the world, specifically the Satellite District.

"What do they want with Satellite? There's nothing here they can actually use to take over the world,"I say, voicing my honest opinion. "I mean, besides the people, there's no reason to start here."

"I agree with Blair. In the time that I've been here there's nothing that put them at an advantage,"Blister says, his index finger on his lip.

"You're both wrong actually,"Yusei says. "Goodwin said they feed off of the depression, helplessness, sorrow, pain, and jealousy of Satellite. That make makes them much stronger than we anticipate."

"If they're stronger than you know, why risk your lives for a lost cause? There's no point if they can wipe us out in one blow,"I say quietly.

"Blair, are listening to yourself? This isn't you. We both know you would risk your life for a lost cause if it involved something you cared for,"Martha says countering my claim.

I roll my eyes. "Why am I even here? This doesn't concern me. I couldn't do anything, even if I tried. I'm not getting involved in this Dark Signer mess,"I say getting up and walking to exit the kitchen. "If you need me to bring anything to feed those kids then call for that, not some issue that I can't help with."

"Blair, is this really the example you want to set for Jayden? What would James do in this situation? Better yet, what would he tell you to do?"Trudge asks me stopping me in my tracks. "This isn't just about the world. It involves everyone living on it. You try to ignore the fact that you don't have anything to do with this, but we all do. We all have a role to play. Think about how this will affect Jayden. If he were to have the same fate as James, you wouldn't forgive yourself. We all need you to help us out."

"Why me?"I ask.

"You have the first thing we need to stop them,"Yusei says standing up and walking towards me.

"What's that 'thing'?"

"A sign."

"A sign?"

"Your right arm."

I look at my right arm and an outline that appears to be one similar to dragon start to form. A gasp escapes my lips.

"You bear the Seal of the Crimson Dragon. This makes to more involved than you think,"Yusei says to me in a loud, commanding tone.

Well, things just interesting.

Didn't plan on making her a Signer at all, but I kinda needed a way to wrap things up.
