Chapter Eight

As the sunsets over the horizon, the other Signers and I begin to get ready to leave for the Four Stars of Destiny. Yusei and I are going to the main building where this entire thing first began. I get on his duel runner and hold on tightly to him.

"Relax, everything will be fine. I promise,"he says to me loosening my grip around his waist slightly. "They'll all be safe and sound(ooooooooo,oooooo, la laaaa,la laaa, oooooo,ooooo.... Again, I had to. This is my hunger games jam!) before you know it."

I nod slightly and take in his scent, trying to calm down. He starts his duel runner and the wind starts blasting me in the face.

The ride to the main building was silent except for the engine of the duel runner. As the duel runner come to a stop I look up at the building and gulp.

"Guess they didn't call it the star of destiny for nothing, huh,"I say trying to calm down.

"You've got it. Just remember what we talked about. If anything goes wrong I'll be the first to come to your rescue,"Yusei says grabbing my hand. "I know this irrelevant, but are you eating well? You seen to light for a woman of 25, not to mention mother."

I ignore his question and look at figure that just emerged from inside the building. Yusei notice's my distant stare and turns around.

"Roman."

I'm down to my last 300 life points and can't stand the pain coursing through my body. Roman laughs.

"Did you really think you could beat me? I'm Dark Signer. Much more powerful than your Crimson Dragon. I'll give you one last chance to try and turn this duel around before I annihilate you. I play Redeeming Choice!(I made this up. I have no clue what do at this point for the duel.) This card can only be played if I sacrifice 1,000 life points of my own. Now, I'm sure you're wondering what this card does.

"Well, I can place two souls on the line. The souls I choose are your son's and your lover's. Blair, is it? Now, you have the chance to save one of the males in your life whom you love dearly. Your son or the love of your life. You have to the end your next standby phase to choose, so choose wisely because once your choice is made that's the choice I'll take into account,"Roman yells across the field as two bodies appear before me.

Jayden and James.

"Your choice and then it's your turn."

I look into their eyes. "I choose........"
