I look to my right. There is a little girl standing next to me. My little girl. She is almost two now. My daughter, Petunia Rose Mellark. She was named after my sister, Primrose, who had been taken too soon, at the hands of the rebellion.

To my left, I see my husband, Peeta, holding another little baby. The baby's face is covered. It represents my unborn son or daughter, who soon will be brought into this world.

We walk into the square, which is when I hear the familiar voice. Although we are now friends, the owner of this voice will haunt my dreams forever.

"Welcome, welcome, welcome! It is time to choose brave young men and women for the annual 76th Hunger Games!"

The games ended at 75, but I always have nightmares of them continuing. We won the war, but I will never forget the Games. The Games which have never failed to haunt my sleep.

"As usual, Ladies first!" The old Effie shouts. She used to be just as barbaric as the rest of the Capitol, but Peeta and I have changed that once and for all.

"Petunia Mellark!" She says. My worst fear.

Memories flood my mind of the moment that Prim was called. Only this time, I couldn't save my daughter. I am over the age now. I cannot volunteer.

I'm awakened by a scream. My own scream.

"Katniss. Shhh, it's ok. It was just a dream." Peeta whispers to me, holding me in his arms.

"There was a reaping. She called Petunia. I couldn't save her." I say, my whole body shaking from tears.

"Kat, it'll be alright. The Games are over. Petunia and Kiddo will never go into those games." He gives me a gentle hug and we lay down again.

Kiddo is what we've decided to call our baby, rather than, it, the baby, him or her, and all those names.

I give Peeta a quick kiss and try to drift back to sleep.

"Goodnight, Kat. I love you"

"I love you too Peeta. Goodnight."

I fall into a dreamless sleep.

"Kat, grab Petunia. It's time to go to the hospital to get you checked out," Peeta tells me once I finished getting ready.

"Okay. You have to get ready too." I say as I head to Petunia's room, "C'mon Petunia. Mommy's going to get a checkup." I say to her.

"Mommy whad wong?" She says. Petunia learned to talk early, so she can say full sentences sometimes. She just doesn't pronounce everything correctly.

"Mommy is ok. I need to make sure that your little brother or sister is though"

"Oh" she says, still sounding confused. Then she points to my belly and asks, "Why dey in dere? Did you eat liddle broder or sissy?"

Avoiding the question, I say to her,

"Let's get dressed P, and then I can braid your hair, just like mommy."

"Weally? Yay!" She says, giggling and clapping her hands gleefully.

I put her in a yellow sundress with a ruffled bottom. There are baby pink polka dots on it. To top it off, I braid her hair, dark like mine but curly like Peeta's, in my signature side braid. I put a yellow headband in her hair with a big bow on it. She looks adorable.

"Peeta, dear, come look at our beautiful daughter!"

Peeta walks in, and instantly smiles.

"Come here baby, you look so adorable!" Peeta says to Petunia.
