He watched her with all the concentration he had within him as she sat on her balcony and ate her dinner alone. He pondered on her thoughts as she watched the busy city of New York, the wind flowing elegantly through her brown curls of hair.

He was beyond fascinated with the creature that was before him. Even though he watched her through binoculars from the another building close by, he felt as if he were right next to her. His breath hitched uncontrollably as he watched her close her eyes and feel the evening wind flow on her skin.

"What is everyone's problem with this chick. She's just an ordinary girl." A gruff voice next to him grunted in annoyance. He placed the binoculars down and turned to look at the man called 48 who was sharing his post for the night. He disapproved on being accompanied when he was on duty, especially when he just wanted to watch her. But he wasn't in charge and orders were orders.

"There is more to her that meets the eye 48." He said to the man before looking back up at the girl on her balcony again. 48 scoffed and shook his head, an obvious indication that he didn't give a crap about the situation.

"Stop acting like the hero kid, you know that's not who you are." he chuckled harshly in a bitter town before walking away.

He glared at 48's retreating back before he looked at the girl yet again. Instantly, his features softened which made him think about what 48 said.

"You're not the hero."

Those words dawned upon him over and over again. He frowned as he stared at the beautiful woman and wondered what the hell he was thinking by letting his guard down.

To pass the time I work at an Aquarium that recently opened. In my opinion is a very smart move with all the tourism we get in New York, the place is busy every day of the week. I work with the dolphins and turtles, my job entails that I feed them for lunch and dinner. A simple job with fun experiences included which is why I adore the job.

Walking up to the four dolphins in the outside exhibit, I place the bucket of fish down and lean over the wooden platform.

"Hello Precious," I grin, watching the oldest dolphin poke her nose up and whistle to me. "Ok girl, turn around." I say, swirling my finger around in the air. Precious copies my movements and leans back and turns around in the water, whistling and making various clicking sounds. "Good girl Precious!" I praise her by throwing her a fish and repeat the same procedure for the three other dolphins.

"I don't understand why you refuse to be a trainer." I hear a voice over my shoulder and footsteps approaching. I turn around to see Will, one of the Dolphin trainers that I've befriended throughout my short time on the job.

I smile at him before handing him the bucket with leftover fish which he takes softly. He stares at me expectantly, as he waits for me to answer. "You know why, I just don't think I'm cut out for it." I shrug at him as I watch him laugh , squatting down to sit by the edge of the dock.
