I saw you from afar,
And I know it sounds bizarre,
But I remembered your name. There you sat, deep in thought,
Looking kind of lost,
Staring out the window pane. What were you looking at?
Was it the tree with the shade?
The soft droplets of rain?
Or the the countless walks of shame? There's so much to think about,
I think that's all you do,
So I thought maybe, I'd join you too.We spoke briefly,
A short exchange of empty words.
Was this connection worth keeping?
I wondered what more there was to learn.About you.
I want to explore it,
The depths of your mind.
I hope that you'll permit,
Me taking up your time.Whether you enjoy walks in the city,
Or staying home to watch a show.
Do like something witty?
Or perhaps something slow? The curiosity is killing me,
The way it killed the cat.
What could all this mean?
Am I scared to answer that?I want to know,
But I also don't.
