Heeyz. This is Jess's lovely editor. She's been so awesome letting me edit. Just, so you know, the song goes with tthe flash back. And the guy is Chase.

Dee’s POV

“Hey where do you want your books?”

“What books are they? The Harry Potter series, the Divergent series, Gallagher Girls and my classics go on the shelves closest to my bed. The others can go in one of the drawers under the bed!”

“OK, and the textbooks and folders?”

     “The other drawer please”

Mum had been so understanding, replacing all my stuff. But there were some things you couldn't replace. My autographed Harry Potters were gone and so were my favourite slippers, which were way to small from whe I ws ten, which Dad had given me. They hadn't been found. That Haeper's got them. I thought. And I'm going to get them back.

I put the books in the draws and walked into my room picking up the big box of sculptures on the way in. I empted the box quickly but, as I folded it up a big old photo album fell out on to the floor, a photo album I thought had been lost when Dad died.

"OMG! Ash come look at this like now! ASH YOU HAVE TO COME LOOK AT THIS NOW" I shouted as I looked at the photo album in my hands and started to flick through the old photos

FLASH BACK

"Come one Dee, JUMP!" Ash shouted as she laughed around with their best friend Joey, who had just fallen in the stream in the forest by their house, "Oh come on Dee both me and J did it why can't you? You know what forget it? I'm coming to help you just wait a sec" Ash giggled as she jumped accross the stepping stones to reach her sister

"Hey Dad, that's not fair don't take photos of her rescuing me" Dee said, as she laughed and then slipped off the stone and into the water. The girl's dad just laughed and snapped a picture of them splashing around in the stream, Ash,Dee and Joey all laughing as he joined them in the cool water. All four of them were soaked by the time they got out of the stream, picked up the camera and walked back to Joey's house for a BBQ like they did every day in the summer.

"Hey A, D over here look at Smokey, we think she's pregnant but we won't know till tomorow and the vet, Dr Porter comes to do a scan" said Joey pointing to the rabbit hutch where a dark grey rabbit was munching on a piece of lettuce in the corner looking slightly fatter than usual "She's eaten, like, twice as much as she normally eats in a week in 4 days"

"You know what J? I think you might be right. According to a book I've been reading, when rabbits are expecting, they eat loads of food to get all the nutriants to their unborn children" said Ash.

Joey looked at her and told her that she read way to many books and that most normal 8 year olds would do anything to live in a big house next to a forrest that still had may places to explore and that instead of spending so much time reading she should spend more time with him and Dee exploring that undiscovered territory. They all laughed at how mature he sounded and collapsed into the chairs in his backyard.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Ash walked into the room five minutes later.

"Sorry Dee I..."  I was curled up in the corner of the room, photo album lying open to the pictures that dad had taken before the accident and him, Joey and Jhon, Joey's dad had died in. "OH MY GOD DEE WHATS UP?" as soon as she saw the open album on the floor she knew exactly what was up and felt just as I did so came and joined me in my corner crying.

"I wish I could have stopped them you know. I hate knowing that I was the reason it happened. If I hadn't insisted that they come home then they would still be here" I sobbed

"You have to stop thinking like that Dee. It wasn't your fault it was that stupid drunken driver's fault. Not yours, Not mine, Not anyone's but his you can't blame your self Dee, you just can't. Just think, what would Joey say to you right now? He'd say that their was no point blaming yourself for something that happened so long ago. Look if it makes you feel any better it was just as much my fault as it was yours." Ash said.

This was the first time we'd talked about it but once; the last time was at Joey's funeral, she said that even if he wasn't here in person he would always be splashing round with us in the river in our hearts and memories and that that was what mattered. I curled up in the corner again and fell asleep remembering all the times we had been splashing around in the river
