tip: i think this works in both dark, black and white, and light middles depending on what kind of pictures you are using. and the white border also looks good there or not there.
tip 2: you do not need specific pictures for this theme, it is really simple to remake and work for misc pictures and celebrity ones. with this theme it is all about what looks good to your eye, what best fits your aesthetic, so it gives you a lot of freedom to play around with it as much as you'd like!
tip 3: i also think that the little box in the middle would look good i several different ways placed in the image, sideways, a small box in the middle of the photo, play around with it's placement. but i do think you should definitely make sure it's even on each side so your cover doesn't look non symmetrical.
