Emilia's POV:

"What happened?" I asked. A couple people I didn't know and I were being herded off the ship.

"We crashed into the lighthouse." A man wearing a coat and captain's hat pointed at the island we were walking onto. I assumed he was the captain, therefore the crash was his fault.

"I can't believe we actually crashed into a lighthouse. Aren't they supposed to warn ships that they're to close to shore!?" That was probably one of the most ironic things to ever happen to me. Except for that one time my mom backed into a stop sign. Now THAT was irony.

"Excuse me, excuse me!" A girl said, pushing through the people. "Has anyone seen PJ? Anyone?" I recognized that girl. She had brown hair, blue eyes, and was about medium height. Her and a boy about the same age were standing near the boiler room when the ship crashed. I heard someone tell her there were deaths because of the crash and that he could be one of those dead people.

"Hey." I said and walked up to her. "Are you okay? I heard you were looking for your boyfriend." I wanted to make her feel alright. It wasn't fair. No one could find PJ or his dead body, so it must be tough on her. She spun and faced me.

"PJ is not my boyfriend!" She practically screamed. Then she calmed down and said "He's one of my best friends." I felt so bad for her at that moment. It looked like she was even crying. " I know he's still alive," she sobbed. " I just know it."

A bunch of reporters started swarming around. "Bye." I said and turned away. I needed to make sure a everyone was okay and answer questions.

As I looked back at the girl I saw the water rippling around where she sat at the shore, and there was mist clouding around her.
