Chapter 7

~~Skylar's Pov~~

(AKA Lucy)

Waking up in the morning, I felt as if someone had repeatedly threw hot lava on me. For some reason I felt sick to my stomach. "Maybe its because of yesterday." I thought.

Thinking about last night's event didn't help the situation for sure as I found myself blushing at the thought of me and Alexander dancing in the rain. "Oh Lord, what are you doing to me?" I hid my face in one of the pillow which was very fluffy. Those pillows were probably the only thing that I like. They were so comfortable and squishy that it made me want to stay in bed all day. Specially after what happened yesterday.

What should I do when we would meet? I guessed I didn't know the answer to that. But one thing for sure, I really didn't want to see him.

Sighing at myself, I slowly uncovered my whole body from the soft and warm blanket

Making myself into the bathroom, I gasped as I saw my pitiful self in the mirror. My eyes were red just like it was the other day. But this time I didn't feel any pain. My gaze came across my once tanned skin which was now pale. I looked down at my hands waiting for the pain to come but nothing came.

Finally I retreated from the mirror and made my way to the shower. I stripped down my clothes and turned on the shower letting the cold water trail down my body. I should find that man as soon as possible. I could feel something was amiss.

I thought today would be perfect for me to escape as I heard the guy saying that they would leave for the underworld meeting at the dinner yesterday. Everyone of them were going,  meaning that no one was going to interfere.

"What!" I asked still not believing my ears.

"You heard me, Jaxon will be staying with you while we are away." Alexander confirmed then he soon added. "It would be a shame if we leave our guest alone. So I thought you would like a little company." Or maybe you just wanted me to die. Just say it!

I glanced to my left and saw Jaxon grinning evilly at me before saying "Oh brother, you don't have to worry about her. I'm going to take care of her. I won't let you down I promise." He smiled sweetly as Alexander patted his head. Anyone could see the lies as it left that little boy's mouth and how he was secretly crossing his fingers doing so.

"But he's just a kid." Jaxon gave me his full glare as Alexander said, "Oh would you prefer me in exchange to keep you company." He smirked making my cheeks turn slightly red.

"No thanks, I prefer Jaxon." I added quickly while he caught me blushing. Suddenly a frowned appeared on his face making me wonder what was wrong.

He approached me while I stood in place too busy looking at his captivating eyes. He then leaned in to me and I observed as his worried face study me. I peeked behind him to look for Jaxon but he was no where to be seen. When did he left?

Slowly his warm hand reached for my cheeks making my skin tingles from where it was dominating. "You are sick, aren't you?" He looked into my eyes as he spoked.

"You're skin is very pale. You should be treated before it gets worst." With that he scooped me into his arms. I let out a shriek but he ignored it and continued his way to my bedroom. All this time I kept on admiring his beauty that was pure divine.
