Chapter 11

Warning: This chapter is a bit shorter than usual so bare with me~~~

~Skylar's pov
(aka Lucy)

"I'm waiting," I raked my hand through my hair, then fixated my eyes on him.

"Hmm. Impatient; just like your mother, I see" at the thought of my mother I became rigid; not knowing how to respond. He took out something out of his pocket and place it on the table. A familliar warm feeling embraced me as I stared at the joyful picture consisting of my beloved mother and Orpheus. My mother smilling contently as she embraced her baby with love and care. I longed for such attention. I wished I could spend some more time with my mother. But alas, it was a dream to never come true.

Something else caught my attention. The baby had a necklace around her neck. It's the same as mine except the colour.

"You see this baby right there, it's your twin sister. And the guy beside your mom is me A.K.A your supposed to be dead 'father'."

My eyes almost came out of its socket, waiting for him to laugh his ass off. But he remain immobile and serious. I shifted from my seat and cleared my throat.

"And also, you may call me whatever you want except from 'old man'."

"No, seriously. You're not my dad? How is that even possible? My dad died in front of my eyes... He died saving my pathetic self when I couldn't control that stupid power of mine."

"I had no choice but to pretend to be dead and stay away from you guys. I was injured yes. But not dead. And not only that, I also had to change my face and physical feature in order to be unrecognisable.

Believe me or not, if I had remained one more minute with you and your mother, you would have already been dead. So we had to put up an idea to confuse the enemy. Anyway, that's a story for another time. The real danger now is slowly approaching."

"What do you mean by danger?"

"Long story short, the biggest challenge that you're going to face right now is your own sister." I gasped at him.

Honestly, that was too much for me to grasp. I was not ready for this.

"Look my child, I can't say much for now. But I need you to be brave and no matter what, do not give in to your opponent. I would have never thought that you own twin would be your biggest enemy and the world's too.

She was kidnapped when your mother gave birth to both of you. The person who did this is still unknown. The latter was so discret that we couldn't find any trace of him nor of your sister. But what I can say for sure is, that person, whoever he is, is unknown of your existance.

And it should remain like that, for the time being at least." he sighed.

Billions of questions rocketed my mind causing me to feel nausea for a moment.

"Wait, but why us, father. Why do that want from my sister?" I'm really glad I got the opportunity to be able to use the word "father" again. It brought warm feeling to my chest. But I wish it was in a different situation.

"Skylar, you and your sister have been blessed with great power. And always remember, with great power comes great responsibility and also great dangers. You're sister was kidnapped only for her to become a mere puppet for them to control for their stupid evil deeds. If they knew about you, I am certain your fate would have been the same as your sister's."

Orpheus or should I say, my father grabbed both my shoulders and said, " Look Skylar, before you meet your sister, you need to be trained. We don't know how powerful she is. We have to be prepared and for that I'll help you along with Alexander in order for you to wield you power safely."

Wait what!? Alexander! My father knows him! Awww come on!!!

"Alex dearie! You can come out now."
