tyler woke up to his dreadful alarm blaring in his ear.

he kept trying to sleep, waiting for it to turn off, but it of course never did.

he slowly but surely made his way out of the soft sheets that kept his sun kissed body warm and into the cold morning air that made his body shiver.

while making his bed, he hummed a random tune that he couldn't quite put his finger on and it was bothering him greatly.

he waltzed into the kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee along with a slice of toast, it was his usual breakfast since he didn't have much time for anything else.

while his breakfast was being cooked he made sure to change his ferret's food and water. peach was still sleeping peacefully in his hammock when tyler opened the cage. he was of course being his quietest as he did so even tho it was hard to wake him up.

he gave him fresh food and water, closed the cage quietly, and walked back into the kitchen to the wonderful smell of coffee.

he poured in his favorite caramel creamer and grabbed his toast. he ate and drank quickly since he only had 30 minutes until he started work and he still needed a shower.

with droopy eyes and messy hair, he made sure he still washed and dried his plate and cup, leaving his kitchen always clean.

everyone said he had OCD but he would of course never admit it.

he walked into his small bathroom, peeling the clothes from his body and hopping into his shower.

he sat on the floor of the shower, almost falling asleep but catching himself before he did.

he slowly washed his hair and body with the cheap soap that made his skin itch slightly, but didn't question it. he would've washed up faster if he wasn't so damn tired.

he turned off the water, grabbing his towel while he was still in the bath so he wouldn't have to get the floor wet.

he made his way to his room, the fan on full blast making him almost freeze to death. he quickly turned the fan off and made his way to his chest of drawers.

he opted for a black sweatshirt and to match a pair of black skinny jeans.

he then hung back up his towel and walked into the living room.

he put on his socks, slipped on his vans and told peach farewell as he made his way into the harsh cold that quickly turned the tips of his nose and cheeks pink.

this is one of those days where he just really wished he had a car to make life easier, but until he had a better job he was stuck with walking to work.

he lit a cigarette hoping that would keep him maybe a little warmer, but it didn't help.

he inhaled and exhaled the smoke, not liking its taste as much as marijuana but it would keep him satisfied until the next time he could get some.

his body physically became more relaxed as the nicotine took over and made his dopamine levels rise.

tyler was close to his work considering it was only five minutes away. he worked at a small library with his friend ryan. ryan's dad owned the place.

ryan and tyler had been friends for a little over year now and were very close. ryan was a good friend and tyler was lucky to have him in his life.

as he approached the library, he could already feel the warmth that the place provided.

tyler stomped out the cigarette under his shoe before walking inside.

"what's with all the black? did you just come back from a funeral?" ryan laughed as he stood behind the counter, a small smile was on his face as his curls fell over his eyes.

"i need a haircut." ryan said next, not allowing tyler to answer his question.

"the curls are cute tho." tyler shrugged as he sat in one of the lounge chairs.

"awe thank you! i just think it's time for a new do." ryan said before clicking around on the computer a little with a content smile.

when ryan and tyler were just together, ryan was very bubbly, loud, and funny, but when ryan was with other people, he was quiet and shy. the only time he saw ryan acting the way he acted around tyler was when he was with his boyfriend brendon. they had now been dating for two and a half years and were the cutest couple tyler had ever seen.

there was still thirty minutes until the library opened but he had this obsession with always being early.

fifteen minutes later and tyler needed a smoke.

"i'm goin out for a second." tyler muttered before getting up.

"it's freezing outside yet you're still wiling to go outside for a cigarette." ryan said shaking his head like a disappointed mom.

ryan had never even touched a cigarette even tho he was twenty four, and tyler respected him greatly for that.

"yup!" tyler said with a fake smile before walking outside and lighting one up.

while he blew out the smoke he felt his phone ding.

he pulled out the cheap phone with a crack right across the screen, reading the text that he got.

josh:
comin to ur house tonight

tyler didn't respond cause he knew josh hated him not responding. he finished his cigarette and walked back inside of the library.

"hey can you flip the sign?" ryan asked from his spot. tyler nodded, flipping the sign to its open side and walking to his place behind the counter.

it felt like every day was the same.
