*2 WEEKS LATER*

"Happy Birthday Dustin!" Andy walked through the doorway with a wrapped up box in his hand. "Where should I put the present?" he asked me.

"Over there," I pointed to a fold-up table full of boxes and bags with colorful wrapping paper.

It's already March, 23rd, Dustin's birthday. I managed to set up a birthday party for Dustin at Xtreme trampolines. I've been very tight on money lately but I can manage this one day.

Scout suddenly walked through the doors.

"Andy... What's Scout doing here?" I asked, trying to sound as kind as possible.

He looked at me confused, "She said that her car needed to be fixed and asked for a ride. Why?"

"Just wondering."

She better not ruin this day. Not for my sake, but for Dustin's. I didn't even invite her. She must've heard about the party from Sammi or one of the guys.

She walked over to us and gave me a hug, "Hi!"

I hesitantly hugged her back, "Hey...!"

She put down her present by the other ones and looked at us, "So how's the party so far, is Dustin having fun?"

"Yep. Most of his friends are here already," I quickly stated.

"That's good. So what about YOUR friends, did any of them bother to show up?"

Nice try Scout. "Yeah, there's some people that weren't even invited and still bothered to show up!" I replied in an exaggerated perky tone.

Scout looked around, "I'll be right back..." and she ran off.

Andy looked at me a little shocked, "What was that?"

"What? You mean the way she was inferring that I have no friends or the way she showed up to a party she wasn't invited to?"

"What are you talking about? She said she knew about the party and got an invitation."

"Well, she's lying. I never invited her and it would've been best if she didn't come," I pouted.

"Why? It's not like she did anything to you."

"Do you really not see the way she acts around me? After our game of spin the bottle, she kept giving me dirty looks. She still likes you, Andy."

"No she doesn't, you're just being delusional. She likes me as a friend and we hang out sometimes, but it doesn't mean that she likes me that way."

"Why are you defending her?! I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just telling you the truth. If you don't believe me, that's your problem." I stormed off into the girl's bathroom.

Scout was standing in front of the mirror, applying some mascara.

"Hey Alex," she smiled.

I sighed, "What do you want?"

"For you to leave Andy alone."

"That's not your choice, that's mine."

She glared at me from her reflection, "Before he met you, everything was perfect. None of the others guys had a huge problem to deal with until they met you."

"I'm not a problem to them, just to you."

"After you left, they all laughed at you and started making fun of you."

I cracked up, "Oh really?"

"Yeah. I'll show you."

She pulled out her phone and showed me some texts from Andy.
