Chapter 4

Briana POV -

You said you wanted your eggs scrambled with cheese right ? I asked over my shoulder. He was sitting in my living room area with his feet propped up on my stone coffee table like my granddad used to.

"Yes ma'ma "he replied sarcastically.Every since I got this house re-modeled to my liking I still catch self reminiscing about how things used to be when I was younger . Don't you just miss how things used to be? I laughed a little because I don't even cook for Alex anymore. You can say that I'm wrong, but once I saw that he was trying to make a fool of me I cut him off from everything. We haven't had sex since that last incident which was like 6 months ago , and I'm dealing with it, but its hard when someone you put your trust into betrays you .

30 mins later I was done cooking our breakfast. I cooked us bacon , eggs , grits, sausage for me, pancakes, an apple juice to drink. I fixed his plate and mine and placed them on the marble island in the middle of my kitchen. I ate standing up I always have since I was younger. My mom told me that's why everything went to my ass .

"So how's the food? " I asked. "Ummm" he replied still eating . I laughed a little but I let him finish. I tried not to stare at him while we ate but I couldn't help it. He was so beautiful. His smooth dark caramel skin, his thick eyebrows , hazel eyes , strong jaw and perfectly white teeth.

"What are you looking at Briana ?" he asked putting his fork down . "Your happy plate " I laughed. "Girl on god you cook just like your grandma " he said . "Who do you think taught me how to cook cause my mom cant boil water " I replied laughing. " Talk to me" he said wiping his mouth . "What do you wanna talk about ? " I asked him while making my dishwater . "Me and you..... Us " he said .

" I know you have a man , and I also know he cheated on you. I know you're wondering how do I know this .The girl he cheated on you with is my ex Jada . I met shawty at the U-bar in ATL on some bullshit one weekend she was with her friends and I was with my best boy Fate and his crew . Her mom is a junkie and she never knew her dad. I was trying to help her out ; show her something different for a change , because I seen potential in her. She said she wanted to be a nurse so I sent her ass to school so she could make something of herself .

I found out about 4 months ago around the same time I learned about you that she been fucking around but I finished paying her tuition and told her I wanted nothing else to do with her. Didn't tell her why , I didn't figure I had to cause we to grown to be explaining to each other what we did wrong. You saved your boyfriend life and he doesn't even know it .

Fate was so heated him and crew were on the way to spray buddy shit up at his parents house but I told him everything was good , We didn't need to miss our blessings about no slut ass broad that can't keep her legs closed. I should've known shawty was on some humbug she cause she was always in a nigga face about some money it's like she started getting greedy . The bitch called an asked for $500 out of the blue one day . I never questioned it because I figured it was for books, graduation fees or some bullshit. Her roommate quan told me it was for an abortion. She didn't know who baby it was so she didn't wanna keep it." he said with anger in his voice.

My face was heating up and I felt this big lump in my throat . I was on the verge of crying but I refused to do so , I refused to cry about some nigga that wasn't loyal to me every again ! I sat down . I couldn't believe that everything was a lie, Everything Alex told me was a LIE ! " I just want something real but I wanna take my time. I don't wanna move too fast and we both end up getting hurt again " I said quietly trying not to let my emotions get the best of me . " I'm ready when you're ready Briana. We can go as slow as you want to " he said with a reassuring look .

He walked over to me and stood so close I could smell his cologne. I looked up at him we stood in silence for a min . He took a sip of his apple juice that I didn't notice him holding . "Am I'm some type of revenge pussy "? I asked still a bit confused. I felt sort of bomb rushed by all the details I just received . I got real quiet . How could have I been so stupid !
