(Once again, long chapter, completely different from original)
-Elena's POV-
He sat next to me and tilted his head. "If you're going to stay here we're going to have a small talk." He smirked and I backed up from him.
Great. Perfectly normal. "A small talk? About what?" I nervously looked around. His eyes roamed all around me as if he was trying to figure me out. Unlike most of the time, I was calm and collected. He didn't scare me as he usually did. Mostly because he was quiet and not trying to steal all my blood to break his curse.
"Elena- duck!" he yelled and I quickly did so. A blade came flying through the window and into the living room, just missing my head. "For God's sake. What could they want?" he grunted and looked over the window.
He couldn't seriously be asking such a question. "Klaus." He looked at me but still cautious.
"Who did you piss off this time?"
"What do you mean Gilbert?!" Another blade came flying in.
"You're Klaus Mikaelson. You're always pissing somebody off!" I rolled my eyes and stood up. Catching the next knife that came flying and throwing it back at the direction in which it came from. "So. Who do you think you pissed off?"
He pulled me down to the floor, his eyes turning golden and he seemed angry. "What are you doing?! Do you want to die?!" I backed away from him, being reminded of the past. Why was he so angry in the first place?
I pushed him away with great force out of instinct and he seemed shocked and once again angry at the same time. I scanned the wall which had been cracked by his body. The door came blasting and a man with two wooden daggers attacked both of us, stabbing us in the heart when we least expected it.
Of course, it took seconds before I was awake, Klaus was sitting down on the couch drinking something and scrolling through his phone. I loudly gasped and removed the dagger out of my chest. He almost dropped his phone, a smirk playing on his face. "Now, do you mind explaining this?" Great. The last person I wanted to know about this knows about this.
"Surprise...?" I grinned and sat on the floor. Looking at the bloody dagger I was holding. Klaus didn't say a word and looked at me with an empty look on his face. "What? It's not like you care. So what? I'm a hybrid-" that's it. Great job Elena, you've said far too much now. Change the topic before he figures it out. "Where's Elijah, haven't seen him in a while..."
"An original hybrid? Elena, how in the world?" I shrugged and stood up, making my way out the door. "No, no, you're not going anywhere." He pulled me closer to him, his eyes glowed a golden color. Again, that look of his terrified me.
I yanked my arm away and crossed my arms. "What do you wanna know Klaus?! Your mother did this to me! I'm a hybrid that cannot die. Isn't that just great?!" I exclaimed and my eyes began to water. "I don't want this. Do you know what I've been through? My own friends were scared of me!" I exclaimed and began crying. I couldn't control it and it turned into full sobbing.
Klaus took and deep breath and pulled me in as if to think what it was that he was going to say. He wrapped his arms around me and played with my hair. "You'll be fine. You survived me. You'll survive anything else." He whispered words in my ear and I sighed. "People don't know what it's like. You just have to be strong and act like nothing's wrong." He pulled me away and wiped my tears away. "You're a strong one Gilbert. But keeping things locked in for so long is not healthy. Not for someone as strong as you. So let it all out," he spoke and gestured towards the worn out couch. This wasn't his place our mine and I have no clue as to why we're still here. "That chat I was talking about seems like a must now, huh?"
