Chapter 9

-Elena's POV-

"Elena... please don't do this... I mean, why would you trade him for us? Please, Elena...." tears clouded Caroline's eyes as she stood still.

"I don't wanna do this Care, but it will save all of you at the same time...."

I approached her and felt tears roll down my eyes.

"Elena... please... don't..." Caroline said as the others were looking at me with tears also in their eyes. Clearly understanding what was going on.

Placing my hands on top of her shoulders.

"No!" I shot up from my bed, tears falling down my eyes. Regret filling my heart. My knees against my chest, my legs buried in between my knees. I did all of this just for one man. I could hear the silence from his room. He must be fast asleep... There's no way I can sleep with such dreams hunting me.

Standing up from the bed, I sigh and walked downstairs to the living room. Previous memories haunting my thoughts. How badly do I wish I could simply forget... something from a room called my attention. The sound of bones breaking, who could it be?

Heading to the door where the sounds were coming from, I quickly opened the door and saw a naked Klaus on the floor. He was groaning in pain. Quickly becoming a wolf.

I stood there in shock and stared at him, his wolf form fully taking over him as he glared at me. Growling for what was like a second, before he sniffed the air. Quickly snuggling onto my leg.

Is this part of the Mate thing? His fur brushing against my bare leg caused thousands of sparks to flow through my skin. I felt weak at the sensation and sat on the floor in front of him. His wolf softly licking my neck. Making the sensation really good.

His snout snuggling against my neck. I bit my lip and stared at his golden eyes. He shifted into his human form, staring right at me.
