(Long Chapter - Completely different from Original)
-Elena's POV-
"Not good....! Not good!" I yelled, running through the forest from a pair of vampires probably sent by vampires to try and kill me. "I can't run in heels... shit!" I tripped and in the progress my pants stained with dirt. "Stop! Stop! Stop!" I yelled at the two vampires who stopped in front of me. "How about we call it a truce?" I smiled.
"My best friend. You killed my best friend!" One of them yelled at me and I scoffed in response. Standing up and trying to get rid of the mud on my knees.
I ran a hand through my hair and nervously bit my bottom lip. "So no truce?" The other one growled and bared his fangs to scare me. "Good one. Now, let me go." One sped to the opposite side as if to block both my sides. "A warning," I spoke, "will that finally teach you guys a lesson?" I asked and looked at the two of them.
One of them launched and it seemed to be moving in slow motion. No one ever listens... I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and bit his neck. He winced and I pushed him away.
"What in the...?" the other one spoke and I crossed my arms. I warned them, but people in New Orleans never seem to listen...
"What are you?" The one I bit asked at seeing that his bite hadn't healed. My eyes were still glowing gold and I smirked. "Shit! We have to go tell Marcel!" He spoke and sped away with his pal. I licked the blood off my lips and noticed that I was in the middle of nowhere. In a safe distance, I could hear a large crowd of people walking around.
They were chasing somebody, but who? Out of curiosity, I ran to the center unnoticed and saw a brunette girl slamming a bow repeatedly against someone's head. From her right, someone came running, of course, I didn't' know who she was but I won't find out if she's dead. From a guy who threw an arrow at me, I caught it and threw it at the guy's head.
She panicked and looked my way, ready to come at me next. "Easy... all good here. There's a lot of them- Rebekah?" I quickly recognized the original coming in our direction. She seemed just as shocked to see me as I was to see her. "What are you. doing- " she moved me to the side and dodged another arrow.
"Elena Gilbert. Just great. Came to save the day?" I rolled my eyes and looked around.
From behind me, the other girl seemed shocked. "Elena? As in Tyler's friend Elena?" Hayley. That's who it was... I instantly recognized her voice and her bright eyes.
"No time for chit-chat there's more of them," Rebekah said and I felt a wooden arrow hit my shoulder. In less than a second, another one hit me right in the heart causing me to lose consciousness.
...
I looked around where I laid on the ground, Rebekah was not very far from me still unconscious. It's probably been a few minutes. Hybrid perks, I guess... Pulling the arrow out of my heart, I winced and removed the one on my shoulder. "This is not good..." I crawled towards Rebekah and removed the arrows stuck to her. "Rebekah." I slightly tapped her face. "Rebekah." Sheesh... how long should it take for an original to heal?
I plopped down next to her and waited a few seconds. The cold wind blew in the dark sky. Hayley's gone. Where is she?
Rebekah gasped for air and looked around. "Elena. Hayley-"
"Gone." I shrugged and stood up. "Nice seeing my second least favorite Mikaelson. I hope to never see you again." I dusted my pants off but the mud was already dry.
"Where are you going?" Rebekah followed behind but I'm sure it's best to ignore her. "Elena, I could kill you and easily rip your head off-"
"Be quiet, I can't concentrate." I held my hand up and she was taken aback. "I'll see you around I guess?" If I look now, I can track Hayley's scent. It's faint but I can still track it.
She grunted and stomped her foot. "Elena! Ugh!" She then stomped away as I continued to walk ahead. When did she become so childish? If I was in my wolf form it'd be easier to track but there are more werewolves. I can sniff them out and avoid them if it weren't for Hayley's scent being mixed with theirs. The things I do to help...
Of course, it took me no time to find her resting against a tree with a wolf beside her. I silently approached the two of them, a stick snapping caught his attention and he was ready to launch at me. "Easy there buddy....!" I backed up. "I'm a friend..." the wolf scanned me from head to toe and he seemed to have nodded and walked away.
I ran towards Hayley and tapped her awake. She quickly woke up, her clothes all messed up and bloody. There seemed to be no wounds on her skin. She seemed healthy. I sighed in relief. "Elena?" She blinked her eyes multiple times and tried to stand up. "What happened?"
"I just got here, I don't know. A wolf seemed to have saved you." I chuckled. Helping her up and swinging her arm over my shoulder. "Let's just find a safe place for you to rest." From a not so far distance, I heard voices. Rebekah and Klaus seemed to be in the same room. Safest place than being with me.
I walked at a slow pace to help her get there carefully. "Hey!" I called out and they rushed out the door. "Find a lost wolf..." I nervously smiled and Rebekah seemed genuinely happy.
"Elena..." Klaus called and I avoided eye contact.
Rebekah, on the other hand, was more surprised by Hayley. "Her wounds are completely healed. How?" she stepped closer to Hayley and helped her sit down by the stairs.
Hayley shrugged it off "Perks of being a werewolf, remember?"
All attention was brought to Hayley and I rolled my eyes. "It's not that fast. Something else healed you." I said and looked down at my shirt which was now covered in blood.
At that moment Rebekah interchanged looked with Hayley. "It was the baby. The vampire blood, Klaus' blood in your system healed you. Your own child healed you." She said and I seemed to have choked on my saliva. She's pregnant... with Klaus Mikaelson?!
I turned to Klaus who was the one avoiding eye contact now. "You have a kid?! Aren't you dead?!" I yelled and Klaus pointed at the car. "That's it- I'm booking a ticket as soon as possible- I knew Hawaii-"
"You're coming with me." Klaus pulled me by my arm and I was way too shocked to actually fight it. "Dear. Sweet. Elena. How about we have a chat?" Rebekah and Hayley were driving off to who knows where.
Inside the cabin, I was thrown on the couch. "Easy there, buddy!" I exclaimed and sat up. "What do you want?"
"Why are you here?"
"Vacation."
"Simple as that?" He crossed his arm and I mimicked him. "Who turned you?"
"Why do you care?" I can't say it was his mother that turned me into a hybrid. Would he even believe me? I rolled my eyes and stood up. "You have a kid."
He scoffed and looked away with a glare. "I don't have a kid. It's all Elijah's little plan to make us-"
"To make you all family again. 'Family is power' and all that right?" I giggled as he seemed surprised that I would easily guess what he was about to say. "I haven't known Elijah for long but he sure cares about his family a lot..." I played with my fingers and tried to remove the mud off my jeans. "So talk to me Klaus," I spoke and leaned against the couch. "How'd you end up having a kid?"
He sat next to me and tilted his head. "If you're going to stay here we're going to have a small talk." He smirked and I backed up from him.
