Chapter 35: Lock Up

Dean's POV

"What the fuck did you do, Faye?" I ask her once the police car drove away with my wife inside.

"Don't use that language in front of our daughter, Dean." She says with a smile that can only be described as wicked.

I clench my fist to prevent me from hitting her in her face.

"I am asking this for the last time. What. Did. You. Do?" I say barely containing my rage.

"Didn't you hear the charges against her? She threatened me and Marianne? Don't you care about your daughter?" She asks with fake hurt.

"Right now, my only priority is Kat. She never ever would've done that." I say defending her.

"You're still defending the woman who threatened to kill me and our daughter and who assualted me? And yet you still keep her as a priority!" She shouts. 

"My wife is going to a police station for something she didn't do. So excuse me, I have much more important things to do." I state and call our lawyer.

"Dean! Come back here this instant!" She yells, but I ignore her and climb into my car while talking to the lawyer.

While I am taking to him, I mentally curse for forgetting Kat's purse. Oh no, wait they took it with as evidence or something.

Richard, our lawyer, is already on his way to the station. I speed to the station while calling Roman and filling him up with the details.

"Shit, I am on my way." He says and hangs up.

I call Seth now, but he is not picking up, so I try Sasha.

"Dean?" She says sounding breathless. 

"Sasha, Kat was arrested now. I need you to keep Kathleen with you until I come." I say and take a turn.

"What? What happened?" She asks frantically.

"I'll explain later, just keep Kathy there, okay? Is Seth there? I need to talk to him." I ask and she mutters a yes and hands him the phone.

"What happened, man?" He asks worried.

"Faye did. She laid a false charge against Kat, but I will tell you the details later. Just stay with Sasha and Kathy till I get there. I just need her to be safe now with people I trust." I say with a sigh.

"Of course, man. Did you call Roman? You can't be alone now." He says. 

"Yes, he will be there with me." I say and hang up.

Damn it!

Faye will pay for this. I can guarantee that.

"What do you mean I can't see my wife!" I angrily scream at the officer.
"She is still doing a mandatory questioning. You can't see her, sir." He says with authority.

Just when I was about to lose my shit, Roman grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"Look, you need to stay calm now. You can't be sitting in that cell next to her." He says and pulls me to the chairs in the waiting room.

"At least I'll see her then." I mumble and release a strained sigh.

He halfheartedly smiles at me and rest his head against the cold, hard chair.
