You scoffed as you heard your best friend, Ashton, make his girlfriend laugh a really annoying, high-pitched laugh. You continued to watch him being all 'cute couple' with her. Jealously filling you as she leaned in and kissed him. He wasn't only your best friend, he was the first boy you have ever had proper feelings for. Butterflies would erupt in your stomach with his touch and his closeness, like when he hugged you or something. You loved his laughs and smile. He was always there for you, no matter what. If something bad happened, big or small, silly or serious, he'd always be there to comfort you and let you know that'd it all be okay, even if you knew it wouldn't. He'd always stand up for you aswell. It's taken you years to finally realise that you were in love with him. She was the only person in your way of telling him or having a chance with him, the school slut, Ashton's girlfriend. You didn't understand what he saw in her, she flirts with everyone when his back is turned and she's cheated on all her ex's. She'll break his heart one day and you know it. Ashton must have felt your gaze because he turned to you, from the other side of the classroom, and smiled and waved at you, you done the same, earning a smile from Ash and an evil glare from her. The day progressed and you were gonna ask Ash if he wanted to do something after school. "Hey Ash!" you said, you were both standing at his locker, "Hey Reese!" "Do you wanna do something later? We could watch a movie or something?" "I'd love to but-" He was cut off by a familiar annoying voice, "But he's busy, we're going to a party! Your not invited so stay away" You looked at Ash, he gave you a sad smile. You began to walk away, "Reese wait!" he shouted from behind you, "Leave her Ash, not worth your time" "Okay" you heard him say. How could he? First he lets her talk to you like your nothing and then he basically admits that your not worth his time! Tears began to leave your eyes, just like the way he has left you. Sadness was replaced with anger. You arrived home and went straight upstairs, into your room, sat on your bed and cried. Your best friend of 10 years has left you. It hurt a whole lot more because you were in love with him. Hours past and you imagined Ashton at that party. Your thoughts were interrupted by a knock on your bedroom door. "Come in" you choked out. You weren't expecting a 'puffy-red-eyed-I've-been-crying-for-so-long' looking Ashton to come in. "Ash," you stood up, "What's wrong?" "S-she cheat-cheated on m-me" he said, crying, "That bitch, I knew she'd-" you didn't finish your sentence because Ashton hugged you. You felt his tears as he nuzzled his face into your neck. "C'mon, let's sit down" you said, guiding him to your bed. You both talked for hours, he kept apologising for earlier. "It's okay Ash, I swear, it's just hurt a little" you lied. "Listen Ash" you say, lifting his chin with your finger, making him look into your eyes, "Out there, is a girl who loves you so very much and would never even think of hurting you in anyway because you mean the world and beyond to her, I promise" He laughed a little, "Prove it" You began to lean in and then you smashed your lips onto his. At first he was taken aback but after a few seconds, he began to kiss back. He wrapped his arms around you and one of your hands were in his hair whilst the other caresses his cheek. You both pulled away, he rested his forehead upon yours. "That enough proof?" you breathed out, "You know, I've been in love with you for so long now, Reese" you smiled, "I love you, Ashton" "I love you, Reese and I would also love if you were mine, so will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes, Ashton" "I love you, Reese" "I love you, Ashton"
