Chapter 36 - Trying to be strong.

We attend our classes and it was finally time for lunch. I sat with Mina again despite of the argument me and Jungkook had because he needs to know how to deal with it. I ask Mina to join us and she happily agrees.

"Yah! Heard JB asked you for the prom night??!!" Yoona asks while me and Mina were making our way to the table.

"Yeah, why?" I ask and she looked amused.

"I thought you'd go with Jungkook?" She says. How does she know about this now!!

"Technically JB asked me first and FYI I am not a fortune teller to know that he was also gonna ask me out." I say. Just then the guys make their way towards us. There wasn't much space for everyone so they just grabbed chairs from other table. It looked like we've been surrounded by crowd.

(A/N - I've introduced only some members of Got7 and Exo but if we count the number of people sitting there right now, they'll be many!! 😂)

"So? You guys got a partner?" Namjoon asks and everyone shakes their head except me, JB, Mark, Jhope and Yugyeom.

"Woah! You guys are really quick!" Jin says and I shrug.

"Who's going with who?" Jimin asks.

"JB asked me." I say and JB nods smilingly.

"I'm going with Sana. She's a new student and she's definitely my type!" Mark says clapping his hands. Sana is the cute Japanese new student and she's already famous in the school for her clumsiness, sound funny, I know.

"I'm going with Chaeyoung, she finally agreed to go with me!" Yugyeom says. Chaeyoung has been the artist of the school and she's really focused on what she does, she's hella talented!

We look at Jhope who's enjoying his food. He then looks at us one by one and stops chewing his food. He's unknown about the whole thing.

"What?" He asks innocently.

"Who's your partner?" Yoongi asks.

"Partner? Is there another project?! What?! When?! How?!" He says getting up.

"No you dumbo! Who's your partner for the prom night?!" Yoona says and he sighs.

"Thank god! I thought there was some project! Well, I'm going with Momo." He says. Momo is also a Japanese new student and she's an amazing dancer!

"Jungkook hasn't got a partner yet? That's new...." Jimin says which makes Jungkook shrug.

"Had to go through a tough time after my first ever rejection." Jungkook says dramatically.

"OH! Who's that smart girl?!" Jin says and Jungkook points at me.

"I already told you why!" I say.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever...." He suddenly starts acting cool. What an actor!

"Mina? You don't have a partner?" Bambam asks and Mina nods.

"I wasn't asked." She smiles.

"Would you like to go with me?" He says because of which all of us start hooting.

"Huh?" Mina says in disbelief.

"I've been observing you since a couple of days and I find you really pretty and elegant, umm.... If you don't mind? Will you go in the prom night with me?" He asks and Mina nods with the prettiest smile.

"See? I told you anyone would ask you?" I whisper to Mina and she nods happily.

"Yah, Bambam, you never told us that you liked someone!" Jackson says slapping Bambam's arms.

"Even I didn't realize that before." Bambam says.

"That was more that cringe worthy." Sehun says and we nod.

"Oppa~" We hear some voices coming from behind. Just then three figures appear in front of us, Kim Yoora, Lee Gaeul and Choi Minsi. Gwad!

"God! The bitches are here again!" I say to myself. Why is my day going so bad?

"TaeTae oppa~" Yoora goes and grabs his arms. I look at Yoona and her jaws had literally dropped. Taehyung himself looked a bit taken aback. Gaeul sits beside Jungkook and Minsi beside Sehun.

"Taehyungie oppa~ What are we going to wear?" She says. We? Taehyungie oppa? Eww.

"Can I ask what's happening here, Taehyung?" Yoona asks.

"My TaeTae oppa just asked me for the prom night and I said yes, so we have to decide the couple classic dress." Yoora says with a smirk on her face.

"My?" Yoona asks. She was obviously boiling of jealousy.

"This isn't like that, she's the one-

"Oppa! Why do you even bother to explain?! I'm you date not her." Yoora says. Yoona just gets up and storms out of the canteen.

"Hey! I'm Choi Minsi! I want you to be my date." Minsi says trying to sound seductive it turned out to sound like a dying rats voice.

"I'm sorry, but I'm already planning on asking someone out...." Sehun replies which makes Minsi frown.

"C'mon! I'm asking you already." She says and Sehun shakes her head.

"I think you should stop wasting your time here." He says directly.

"Why are you going to ask that Jamie out?! Such a bit-

"Not a single word against her!" Sehun warns her.

"Whatever!" Minsi says and walks out of the canteen. I look at Taehyung who's already full of guilt and regrets.

"Jungkookie!! I wanted-

"I'm not interested." Jungkook says before Gaeul could even ask him.

"But, you don't have a partner." She says.

"I'd rather not go that to go with someone like you!" He says. Gaeul gives him glares and walks out. I walk outside to find Yoona and as expected she was in the instrument room.

"Yoona...." I say and I hug her. This time she wasn't sitting before her piano to play it, she was there trying to contain her emotions, trying to be strong.
