The Call

"Call him!" Jenn tells me for the hundredth time.

"I don't know." It's the next day and I've told Jenn what Anthony wrote on my receipt. I'm debating on whether or not to call him. He's cool and all, but not my type. He's seems too confident. If I dated him, it could be a challenge. I go for guys that are real and true to themselves.

"Call who?" Andrea says coming into the living room. Jenn wiggles her eyebrows at me and I just roll my eyes, "This guy at the café gave Emily his number and she's too scared to call him"  Jenn says.

I scoffed, "I am not scared, I just don't think it would work out" I explain. "Well you won't know until you try" She says I just stare at her. I guess it wouldn't hurt I mean what's the worse that can happen? 

"Fine, but can you guys stay in the room while I call?" I ask a bit nervously

They both nodded in agreement, I type the number in my phone and call him. After 8 seconds he picks up.

"Hello" He says

"Um hey its Emily, remember me? We talked at the café" I said nervously

"Yeah how can I not remember? Especially since that was two hours ago" I mentally slap myself for asking if he remembers.

"Of course you cant" I look at Jenn and Andrea and they both give me a thumbs up but I just roll my eyes. "So I was wondering if you wanted to go somewhere? Maybe Friday night?" A grin starts growing on my face then I start nodding but realized he couldn't see me.

"That sounds great! Where do you wanna go?" I ask

"How about something simple? Possibly the movies?" he asks.

"Cheesy, but I like it" I say with a smile on my face,  "Well I am a chessy guy, I'll pick you up at seven thirty just text me your address" He says "Will do, bye Anthony!" I said "Bye beautiful" He hangs up and I start blushing. 

Jenn and Andrea start wiggling their eyes at me so that makes me blush even more. "Aww my Emily is growing up" Jenn teases, I just shake my head at them then go in my room.

I jump on my bed and lay there, what if this date is just awkward? Does he have a girlfriend? Is this even a date? I just sigh and close my eyes. But then one particular person popped in my head.

*Next day (Thursday)*

Emily's P.O.V

When I ate breakfast this morning I realized I still haven't forgiven Ricky yet. So I'm driving to the house to finally apologize, I turn up the music on the radio and listen to the song that's playing

I haven't heard this song in awhile, I always played this song a lot after my parents were fighting and it would always make me feel better. I arrived at the house then got out of the car, I go up to the door and knock. 

I really hope he's hear I thought, the door opens and I see Kian smile at me "Hey I was just wondering if Ricky was here?" I ask. Please be here, please be here "Um not at the moment" Damn it!  "But he'll probably be here in like 5 minutes? You can come in and wait for him" He suggested. I felt relieved "Yeah sure thanks" He scoots away so I can go in then he closes the door behind me.

"Um I kinda have to go somewhere right now but JC and Connor are here so you won't be alone" He says "That's ok I'll just... Sit" I said pointing to the couch. Kian nodds then heads out the door, I just sit on the couch feeling awkward "Hey Kian who wa- Oh hey!" I turn around and see Connor coming downstairs. I feel butterflies in my stomach but then Anthony comes in mind, "Hey, how are you?"

"I'm great, What are you doing here?" He asks "Oh I came here to talk to Ricky about something, but he isn't here so I'm just waiting for him" I said. "Is everything Ok?"

"Um... Just some stuff I gotta say to him" I said honestly "Are you and Ricky..." I look at Connor weirdly "You know? Like are you.... Kinda... Yeah..." I raise my eyebrow at him

"What the heck are you talking about?" I ask confused "Never mind I doubt it anyways" I was gonna ask him what was up but the door had open "Hey guys I got a lighting too-" Ricky stops what he's saying as soon as his eyes land on me "Hi Ricky" I said quietly. 

Everyone is quiet for a minute. Until...

"Well I got to go.... Feed a bird.... Bye!" Connor sprints towards the kitchen. Ricky and I are just standing in the living room but I finally decided to say something "Look I talked to Jenn about what happened then felt really bad about yelling at you because your just being a caring friend to me, I just jump into conclusions and I am really sorry" I say all in one breath.

Ricky comes and hugs me tight so I immediately hug him back "Wierd what can happen in a few days huh? and I totally understand Emily" Ricky and I break away from our hug and are facing eachother "Yeah I mean I already have a date" I blurted out

Ricky's eyes widen and right on cue Connor comes out of the kitchen then see's the facial expression Ricky has. "So what's going on?" Connor asks

"Looks like Emily has a date soon" Ricky answers then I see Connor's eyes widen, why are they so shocked? I'm not that bad.

"Oh that's cool. I got to go edit my video" and with that Connor is in his room. I just here awkwardly while Ricky is still shoecked, "So I think I should get going but I will text you later" I say Ricky nodds but smiles "Bye Emily have a nice day" He says opening the door 

"Thanks you too"I go to my car and go in. Sigh. What just happened?

Thanks for reading and sorry this is a crappy chapter I know, I'm very very busy this week but until school is over I will update more I promise. Anyways if you guys can figure what that song Is called AND who it is by I will give you a shout out and maybe a chance to be on the book..
