Chapter 13: First Fight

Dai's point of view

I get on the arena and wait for my opponent. He finally steps on to the field and I see that it's a Frost Demon. He is short and has ice blue eyes. He has horns similar to King Cold but that's it. He is red and white with what appears to be a face mask on his face, actually it looks like it's apart of his body. He is wearing armor that is made out of the tissue of other Frost Demons and a chest plate similar to King Cold's except it's white and black with no shoulder pads. He gets in a fighting stance and I do the same.

"Now since both contestants are in the ring, it's time we explain how you lose. If you touch any ground that isn't part of the ring it will be considered a ring out and you lose. If you are knocked out and don't get up in 30 seconds you lose. There is no killing or weapons allowed, only Ki techniques and fist fighting. Now on the count of 3 you may start. 1... 2... 3!" As soon as 3 is said I rush in with a punch to the head but he quickly dodges and delivers a punch to my stomach. He then uses his tail and slams me into the ground. He tries to fire a Ki blast but I stop him and deliver my own Ki blast right to his face which sends him into the sky.

"You're pretty fast Frozone." He stays silent as he puts his hand in front of him and charges a blast. "Silent type, got it." I put my hands to my side and charge my attack. "GALICK!" He continues to charge his attack. "GUN!" I shoot my hands forwards and I fire the pink beam. He doesn't move his hand as the attack is fired from his hand. They clash in the sky and the force coming from it is destroying the ground beneath it. I quickly add more power into the beam and it over powers his. What I wasn't expecting was for him to deflect the blast. He then rushes at me, faster than I can react, and punches me in the stomach. He then kicks me away and follows me kicking me again up into the sky. I finally catch myself just in time to dodge a punch from him. We might be equal in power but his speed is far greater. I put my hands above my head and focus my energy in the area between them. I then bring my hands down fast and throw the blast. "FINISH BUSTER!" It hits him dead on as he is sent flying with a crack in his chest plate. I then rush at him trying to kick him to the ground trying to get a ring out. He catches my foot with his tail and I stop moving.

"You are tough, I wasn't expecting this level of strength." He then throws me with his tail and I hit the ring with a lot of force as I feel my left shoulder break. I get up and he is already back on the ring with his arms crossed. I can't move my left arm so most of my attacks can't be used. He uncrosses his arms and shoots a volley of Ki blasts at me and I barely dodge them all. He then appears behind me and punches my back right into the ground resulting in a ring out.

"Dai has been knocked out of the ring resulting in a ring out. Frozone is the winner of round one!"

"Damn it!" He is then standing in front of me with his hand extended towards me.

"That was a good fight." I take his hand and he helps me up.

"It was." We both head to the fighters area. He continues walking as my friends surround me.

"Good job Dai, it was a good fight." Kale said that and I can always rely on her to improve my spirit.

"Thanks." I notice that Christian is gone. "Hey where's Chris?"

"He went to get spend some time with Kylie." Bardock said.

"Okay."

"With the explosive start to the tournament we can get a glimpse of what to continue in later fights. The fighters for round two are Raditz and Christian aka Kakarot. Both fighters head to the stage now." A fight between brothers, this would be interesting.
