I continued to sit there as he remained unconscious. His strength... Felt odd. Not like it felt evil, but it was still powerful. It was like he was awake. It was strange... But then again... I kept going back to when he saved us. He didn't put his hands up, he just took the blast. He always said he would do anything for me, I guess I never thought he would protect me with his life. His eyes... They were filled with rage. So much rage, yet, he didn't kill him. He still held back against Vegeta, he let him live. Maybe... No matter how much he says he'll kill someone for threatening me... He won't actually do it. That brought a smile to my face for some reason. I guess knowing he won't kill brought it to my face. I started holding his hand and when I did, I felt his fingers twitch.
"Christian..." He slowly opened his eyes. He looked dazed and confused.
"What... Happened?" He tried sitting up but I stopped him.
"No, stay. You will hurt yourself more. You are in the hospital, you won your fight." He layed down again.
"Okay..."
"What's wrong?"
"I don't want to be on... This bed." His voice was clearly sore and he looked tired just from that little amount of movement.
"I know, but you need to. You need rest."
"But... I hate being stuck." I sigh.
"I know, please get rest though. Do it for me." As soon as I said that, he gave in.
"Okay, I'll rest."
"Thank you."
"You're... Welcome." He closed his eyes.
"Chris?"
"Yes?"
"Oh... Just making sure you are still awake." He smiled.
"Well I'm still awake." I smiled.
"I can see that." He opened his eyes.
"I want to get up."
"I know. Can I get you anything?" He started thinking about it.
"Um... Something to drink."
"Why? You have an IV stand in you."
"Well I don't want anything."
"Oh okay."
"Yeah." He closed his eyes again.
"Chris?" He was asleep. "I guess you're out." I look around and see that everything on the equipment he was hooked up to looked normal. I sat in my chair and closed my eyes. I fell asleep too. I fell into a dreamless sleep.
