Stefani unconsciously wiped her mouth after a steamy making out scene with her co-star Ethan James. He looked at her and chuckled.
"I'm sorry," she said. "After five times it gets a little..."
"Repetitive," he filled her in.
She chuckled and put on a robe over the lacy one piece she was wearing. "I'm so done with this scene."
He raised his dark eyebrows. "Am I that bad?"
She smiled. "Not at all. I'm just exhausted."
"Yeah, I noticed." He casually laid back on the bed. "What's bugging you?"
"Oh, you know, parenting is even harder than acting. Especially once they're over 12 but you probably don't want to hear about."
"We might not be crazy in love in real life but that doesn't mean you can't talk to me. Teenager problems?"
"Yes, especially my eldest. She's being a handfull."
He laughed. 'It can't be that bad, right? I mean, she's your daughter."
Gosh, she thought, this guy doesn't know me at all. "Well, that's the problem."
"Oh, you were a bad girl growing up?"
"Pretty much," Stefani said, while whiping her hair over her shoulder.
"A little bit of experimenting isn't that bad. You have two girls, right?"
She nodded. "Fifteen and sixteen years old. They are the reason my hair's greying."
"You're kidding , right? You're so young!"
"Oh, stop!" Stefani said. "My younger years are behind me. I'm the mother of two teenagers now."
"That doesn't make you less beautiful. Your beauty is on a whole other level."
Stefani rolled her eyes. "You know I'm married, right?"
"I have the right to say what's on my mind."
"Well, thanks. That's very sweet of you." Stefani looked into his greenish blue eyes and couldn't deny that his attention felt good. She knew she wasn't supposed to feel something for the young guy but she hadn't seen Jacob in such a long time and it was really hard for her. She hated to feel lonely.

On the other side of the city Rose just walked out of the skating rink. She heart footsteps behind her. Lucas, who was very out of breath, caught up with her. Her face lit up. She didn't even know he was at the ice rink, too.
"Hey, I'm surprised to see you here." She couldn't believe that actually came out of her mouth because, usually, she hated social interaction.
"Really?" He asked shyly. "We did some weight lifting in the training room. But I was wondering, before you head home, if you would maybe like to go get a hot cocoa with me or something? If you don't want to go that's fine, you know, I get it. But there's this really nice café just around the corner and... I'm rambling."
Rose chuckled. Her light eyes glistening with joy. "I don't mind and yes, I'd like to go to that café with you."
Relief showed on his face. It flattered Rose that Lucas was nervous to ask her that, because he seemd like such a confident, though guy. "Good, let's go then."
They crossed the road and walked along the cute streets of midtown Manhattan. Rose looked up at the Empire State building as they were walking next to each other. She couldn't even remember when it was the last time she did something that didn't have to do with skating or school and she actually kind of enjoyed it. The café they was only a short walk from the skating rink and when they walked into it it was all warm and cozy. There weren't a lot of people inside, but that was exactly how Rose liked it. Being surrounded by a lot of people made her anxious. She didn't know if that was just her personality or due to being in the spotlight the moment she was born thanks to her mother's fame.
