Chapter 30

* Casey's POV*

The warm blood slides down my throat ceasing my hunger. My prey starts to struggle and I slide my fangs in even more, letting more blood escape as the body grows weaker. The blood fills me fast and I return to my normal state.

I realize I never lost eye contact with the body I just attacked. Abby.

"Abby, oh my god, Abby I'm so sorry," I sob, guilt taking over.

I look up as Harry pulls me away from her, taking her in his arms, tears running down his face.

I look over and see Liam helping Niall who is struggling to breathe, and Louis laying on the floor next to them knocked out.

"Did I do all this?" I ask turning to Zayn.

He just nods as Harry looks up at me his face red and tear stained, "Get out!" he yells a tear rolling down his cheek and onto Abby's. I look to Zayn and all he does is point to the door keeping his eyes off of me.

I don't even think I have to be told to leave, I can't stand the scene much longer.

Abby's almost lifeless face is burned into my mind, haunting my every thought as I speed to my flat.

I walk up the steps barely able to stand on my own two feet. The room is dark and the tv was left on. I slam the front door and slide down it to the floor pulling my knees to my chest and start crying harder, if that's even possible.

"Casey, is that you?" I hear Katy's voice from the couch.

"Y-yeah," I stutter in a weak voice.

"Are you crying?" she's now sitting beside me. "Casey, what's wrong?"

" I can't tell you," I say barely audible.

" You can tell me anything," she says putting a hand on one of my shoulders. "Please, tell me what's wrong."

"I-I killed Abby," I sob hugging my knees tighter to me.

"What?"

I lift my head and look at her," I lost control over myself and when I smelled her blood..... I bit her," I say tears rolling down my cheeks in a stream.

"Oh Casey," she sighs pulling me into a hug."Everything's gonna be okay your still a new born you have to remember to hunt so that things like this won't happen."

" I know. H-Harry kicked me out t-too," I sob into her neck.

"Well, he's just upset. I mean wouldn't you be?"

"Your not very good at this," I say sitting back against the door, finally able to stop crying.

"At what?" she gives me a confused look.

"Trying to cheer people up."

"Well, your not crying are you?"

"That's only because I've been crying for an hour. I'm going to my room," I say getting up from my uncomfortable position on the floor.

*Harry's POV*

"Get out!" I yell at Casey a tear running down my cheek and landing on Abby.

Her head turns slightly toward Zayn and Casey but I turn her back to look at me another tear landing on her colorless cheek. Her blue eyes lock with mine as they slowly start to close.

I watch as she struggles to keep her eyes open. " I love you," I whisper as her eyes close and her body stiffness.

I lay her back on the floor closing my eyes struggling to breathe as more tearsflood my eyes and spill onto my cheeks. She's gone. My mate is gone, she died in my arms, never to return.

Just a few minutes ago we were on our first date laughing and singing to radio and now she's gone. I know she's my mate and all but I never knew that when I met her I would be signing up for one dramatic scene after another.

I open my eyes to see Zayn, Liam, and Niall looking at me their eyes full of worry and grief. I look over to wall to see that Louis is still lying on the floor knocked out.

"You okay, lad?" Niall asks coughing ever so slightly after he spoke.

" She's gone," was all I could say before looking back down at her. "She died in my arms."

More tears spill as a noticeable shudder travels through me. I honestly can't think of anything worse than your girlfriend dying in your arms.

" I'm gonna change her," I say wiping the tears from eyes as realization slaps me across the face."She'll be mad at me when she wakes up though but I would kill myself just to be with her now." I would literally take a stake and shove it through my heart just to be with her.

"Well, I say it's worth it for her to be mad and alive rather than for her to be dead," Zayn says.

I'm gonna do it I'm gonna change her. It's not the way I would have planned it but I'll take what I can get. I move her hair to the right and kiss her cheek softly before moving to her neck letting my fangs poke through my gums. I run a finger over a spot on her cold neck. I nuzzle my head in her neck gently biting letting my poison shoot through her veins giving her life, sort of.

I pull away and watch in anticipation as wait for her eyes to flutter open. I hear mumbling from the corner of the room and look over to see the boys helping the now awakening Louis.

"What happened?" he asked in a groggy voice when he sees me kneeling into front of Abby.

"Casey that's what happened," my inner vampire hisses when I say her name. "She attacked her, killed her, but I changed her."

I look over at Abby who's still not awake, hell she's not even breathing.

"L-Liam isn't she supposed to be awake by now?" my voice weaker then it was a few seconds ago.

"I don't know," he sighs.

"But when I changed Casey she woke up almost instantly," Niall speaks. Again my inner vampire hisses at the sound of her name.

" Abby lost more blood than Casey, Niall," Liam says then turning back to me. " It might take Abby longer to wake up."

Suddenly her hole body jolts as her colour gains and she takes in a sharp breath.
