I walked out onto the stage behind the curtains. it was our penultimate performance. one performance after this in a couple of days and it would be the end of our show.
i shook my hands, flexing my fingers to shake off the nerves. "you okay, babe?" minyoung glanced at me from her spot on the stage.
i turned and shot her a reassuring smile. "yes, i'm great. just a bit excited today, i guess."
"let's go for drinks after with the guys." she suggested with that ever positive smile on her face. "that'd be nice."
i turned my gaze back the front as the curtains were slowly pulled back. "here we go." the music had begun.
i began the routine, moving in sync with minyoung. it was all going fine until i got dazed for half a second. i was lucky not to have missed a step.
i could've sworn i caught a glimpse of yoongi in the crowd. i nearly lost my facial composition, eyes widening a fraction.
i couldn't afford to stray so i kept up with the routine, waiting until i was facing the direction i thought i saw him.
but when i looked again, he wasn't there. i guessed that i imagined it. there really was no way yoongi would have been at the show anyway.
