Jumping into her shoes, Chris then looks up, seeing Carter leaning against a wall, looking down at her with a smug smirk.

"You could call me if you ever want to hang out again." She smiles down. Chris has to keep from grinning as she nods.

"I just might." Pulling over her jacket she then opens the door, Carter waves with a grin.

"Bye Chris."

"Bye Carter."

She walks around a bit before finding her car parked a bit down the road, jumping in. The radio blasts all kinds of good mood songs the entire ride home. Hungover? No.

Pulling up by her house she right away notices something must be off. She doesn't know how, but in the end, there was always something wrong when she came back home. It's like her family didn't even know how to function at all.

As she took out her key from the ignition she already heard yelling so she sighed in a tiered manner. Happy seemingly doesn't last long.

She just hoped Mallis happy lasts longer.

"Do you really have to go? You can't stay any longer?" Malli asks with a smile.

"Sorry, but I have to study and get some things done before going back to school on monday." Sebastian apologizes.

"It's fine. I should probably study for my biology test anyway." They smile at each other.

"I'm sure you'll do great." He get's up from tying his shoes and takes a step, giving Malli a peck on her lips. As he pulls away, Malli places her hand behind his head, pulling him back in.

"I honestly haven't been this happy in a while." She whispers out.

"Why's that?" Sebastian asks, resting his hands on Mallis hips.

"I don't know. I just think I have a pessimistic mindset. Things just keep coming down you know." Malli shrugs.

"You want to know what I think?" Sebastian asks slowly. Malli nods, staring deep into his eyes, so beautiful.

"I think that you and Chris have gotten so close that you start pulling down on eachother. She seems to always involve you in her struggles and you make them your own." Malli almost want's to back up.

"Yeah, I mean we're best friends. Of course she tells me her struggles, I tell her mine as well. That's what friendship is about." Sebastian shrugs.

"Yeah, but think about it. You told me that you sometimes don't want to talk to her about these things because she had so much happening in her life. It kind of sounds like she uses you as her therapist and you can't get a word in."

Now Malli let's go of his neck.

"Not quite. I mean she just has troubles in her life, I'm just trying to help her out. I know I can still talk to her. I love her and I wouldn't put anything above her. She's my second half."

"Are you sure?" Sebastian asks in a way that Malli can't quite get what he means. He looks around. "I mean, you were pretty quick to tell her off for last night for me. And don't get me wrong, I'm happy you did, but you put me above her in that moment. Subconsciously, I think you know that you want some space from her and her issues." Malli narrows her eyebrows at Sebastian.

"What do you mean issues? I have the same Issues she has. Both of us are fucked up people." Malli can feel her pulse rising at Sebastian talking down on Chris. They had become so close, she wouldn't let anyone talk bad about their friendship.
