¨¨ Sunday ¨¨
It's warming up, spring slowly getting more and more heated. Malli had spent the night at Sebastian's place, just in need of comfort and security. He has told her over and over again how he could see she was unhappy with what had happened and that he would give anything to put a smile on her beautiful face.
Something about being with him made her believe that everything would turn out right in the end. She and Chris had never fought before, she only knew how long she was able to hold a grudge with other people. to the point of never talking again, but deep down, Malli believed that their friendship can withstand it all. She believed that Chris would come around and they could wipe their slate clean.
This were said that were never meant, from both sides, she tells herself.
Even though she felt a bit more at ease, she had still been up for the past hour, just looking at the ceiling and thinking about the same thing, over and over again.
It's going to be alright again.
She focuses on Sebastian's chest rising with every breath, something about it seeming so mesmerizing.
His face seemed so at peace, mouth slightly ajar and soft, almost not audible snoring coming from his soft lips.
Malli turns around and grabs her phone from the ground, looking at the time.
08:03 am.
she decides that it's no use to try and fall asleep again and just gets up, slow, trying her best not to wake Sebastian up.
She slowly makes her way to the livingroom and stands by the big window beside his dark blue couch. The city small town around her was lit up in beautiful sunlight, looking so alive and welcoming to her. She opens the window a bit, feeling the air hit her face and waking her up even more.
As she leans against the window frame, she thinks back to the time she and Chris met.
It was so random and lucky.
They were both 14, turning 15 that year. Malli just sat in a small park, by herself and swinging around. She had even back then loved being alone and just looking around. Maybe without knowing, her anxiety and depression had already started back then.
It was just like every other day, her sitting by herself after school and doing nothing but thinking and observing.
But today, someone came up to her. When she heard another female voice, she at first didn't react, no one ever talked to her, she wasn't really friends with anyone.
But after the voice spoke up again, Malli looked around, confused. And there, to her left, was a girl that looked to be her age. Long brown hair, down past her shoulders, in small locks. Blue jeans and a Black T-shirt, paired with a light brown, oversized jacket, black boots and socks that reached up to her knees overtop of the jeans. Her face was round, lips full and mascara on her lashes, accentuating the blue of her eyes. On her fingers, Malli noticed cracked black nail polish and a small golden bracelet on her left wrist.
"Yeah, hey." Malli finally answers after being done dazing off.
"I'm Chris, mind if i chill here with you?" She asks, even though it sounded more like she was going to sit there even if Malli would say no. Malli just shrugs her shoulders and let's the girl, Chris, pass to the swing right beside her.
They sit in quiet, both in their own thoughts.
As malli takes a glimpse over at Chris, she is staring right ahead, Just looking at the rest of the park in front of them.
