I awoke to the sound of a car door slamming and mine opening.

"Come on, Kheagan," Heath says, opening my door of the truck. "We're here."

I open my eyes a little and pout. "But I'm tired now," I say, dragging out the last word.

"I don't care, Baby. I'm hungry and can't leave you in the truck," He whines and gives me his puppy dog eyes.

I sigh and unclip my belt, holding out my arms. "Fine." He hooks his arms underneath me and lifts me up out of the car with a grunt.

"You wimp," I joke with a soft laugh, eyes closed.

"Fatass," he shoots back. I hit him in the shoulder and he winces lightly.

"Not nice."

When we get into the shop Heath lays me down on a booth.

"What kind do you want?" He asks me.

"Surprise me," I mutter, closing my eyes.

My head was still spinning and feeling fuzzy from my drinks. It seemed as if the party just began an hour ago. I check the time and it says 1:27. That means the party started 5 hours ago. I wondered if people would still be partying when we got back.

"Here," Heath hands me my surprise desert. "Try and guess what it is," he encourages, scooping a spoonful of ice cream and feeding it to me. I swallow it and try to determine the flavor.

"Chocolate peanut butter?" I guess. Heath nods his head, excitedly. "That's my favorite kind," I exclaim, excited that he got me my favorite. "Oh, and I'll pay you back when we get home," I offer.

"No need," he waves it off and takes a seat in the booth by my head.

"You sure?" I ask before sitting up so that he has more room and diving into my snack.

"Yeah, it's fine."

I was upset when we were both done with our ice cream; I didn't want to leave. We both got to know each other a little bit better and it was nice to finally feel as though a new friendship was forming.

"We should probably go, Kheagan. It's already 2 A.M." He points out.

Reluctantly I nod and stand up, throwing out my garbage and following him back to the truck.

"Thanks for the ice cream," I say with a grin.

"You're welcome," he smiles.
