Harley kept walking down the alley that night. The floor was riddled in grime and filth, there were graffiti art and messages on the brick walls. There was a dark green dumpster on a side filled to the brim. At another there was a strip club where whores down to their underwear are sticking onto the poles like snakes.

"Home. No place like Gotham." Harley smiled.

"Harley, did you miss me?" A maniacal voice asked behind her.

She turned around immediately with her hopes up.

But all she saw was a tall man in a large coat. A fedora covered his eyes and nose, but his wide smile was in plain sight.

She immediately rushed to him, but as she took off the fedora, the man was a stranger.

"Hey, you're not Mister J." Harley said.

Then a bloody blade came out of his chest beforehe fell face down on the wet filth.

"Did you miss me?" The Joker stood behind the man, his knife pointed at Harley.

Then behind Harley, her best friend, Pamela Isley, or the Poison Ivy, ran past her.

"Oh, I wasn't talking to you, Bitch. I was talking to my new lady, Ivy." He smiled.

"Wh-what?! Mister J, why are you betraying me like this!? And You too, Ivy? I thought you were my friend!!" Harley cried.

The Joker's crazy insane smile became a hateful face of anger.

"Betray YOU Harley!? I loved you. You know I did. First you let me die. After I did, you just dumped me over Batman's little sidekick. Now, Harleen Quinzel, who betrayed who!?" He pointed at her.

Harley felt guilt, then anger.

"Let me rephrase that. I never loved you. You were a doctor. A psychiatrist. You were gonna be successful. Instead whag happened to you? Where are you now? Crime Alley? You stoop this low from being rich to being a criminal? I thought I was crazy."

"You're not my puddin'. He told jokes. He was the joker. That was no joke." She declared, wiping off her tears. She took out her gun, and blew a hole straight through his chest.

"And you better start running." She looked angrily at Ivy.

"Harley, please. I didn't mean anything by it." Ivy said.

"Shut the hell up, bitch. I know you. You have a petty love triangle with Catwoman and the Batman. You knew all this time who he really is but you didn't tell me. You were never my friend at all." Harley said.

"Harley, please."

"Go to hell."

"Have mercy on me."

She pulled the trigger, shooting a bullet straight through Ivy's chest.

"Good God. What have I done?" She fell to her knees, carressing both their bodies on either hand.

"Harley Quinn!! We have you surrounded!! Come out of the alley with both hands up!!" A voice called from a megaphone.

There was no point in escaping, but she didn't move, either. She stayed exactly where she was, waiting for the police to take her straight to Arkham.

She sat in her cold cell, huddling her legs tightly. The broken mirror in front of her bed above a dirty sink was coveeed in mist and dust, but she could clearly see the black ink left by her mask around her eyes were running to her cheeks. Behind her reflection, she could see her Mister J.

"I'm sorry, mister J. I'm sorry." She said as more tears streamed out of her eyes.

She laid down on the bed, hoping that this Nightmare would end when she wakes up.

But she was wrong.

Dead wrong.
