"Are you still having the flashbacks?" He asks me and I shake my head.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure." I say looking up at him.
"Rosalie, you reached out to me so I could help you. I can't do that if you're lying to me."
"What makes you think I'm lying?" I ask and he taps his pencil on his clipboard.
"Your fists are clenched, you keep fidgeting, and your eyes give you away." He says and I huff.
"When was the last episode?" He asks and I sigh.
"An hour ago. At a coffee shop."
"Did anything happen?"
"I froze up and when I pulled from the thought I dropped my glass on the ground." I say and he writes it down.
"Anything else?"
"No."
"Are you still taking your medication?"
"You told me not to lie to you, so no." I say and he sighs.
"Why? They're supposed to help you."
"Well they don't, they just make me bloated and nauseous. Also they make me feel nothing, and I don't like that." I say and he sighs.
"Did they help your problem at all though? The flashbacks and memories?"
"Honestly, no." I say and he sighs.
"Alright, then I'll stop prescribing them." He says
"Thank you." I say and he nods.
"Now time for the big question, have you broken your sobriety?" He asks
"No." I say and he nods.
"And the cutting?" He asks and I roll my sleeves up to show him my healing skin.
"Good Rosalie, that's a huge step." He says and I nod.
"I know."
"Well, you seem to be doing very good. I think we can push your next appointment to a later date rather then next week."
"What date?"
"How about December 23, that's three weeks away."
"I don't know if that long is good."
"I believe in you Rosalie, and I think that time will be good for you. The time alone to live and be yourself. I'm always one call away, but I want you to try and make it." He says and I nod.
"I think I can." I say and he nods.
"Good. Alright so December 23 at three pm. Work for you?"
"Yeah."
"Very well, let me walk you out." He says and I nod standing up. He leads me outside and I turn to face him.
"Thank you, for everything." I say and he nods pulling me in for a hug.
"I'll see you in three weeks." He says and I nod backing up and walking to my car.
"Get some Christmas shopping done!" He calls as I climb into my car.
"You're the only person I have to shop for!" I call back and he smirks.
"Then I'm sure my gift will be phenomenal." He says and I laugh shutting my door and waving.
~~
I kick my door shut behind me and sigh dropping the bags to the ground. I walk over to my phone and hit on messages.
