'This is the last time I'm going to call you. It would be wise for you to answer me.' That was the message he left me.
"Hey."
I snap out of my thoughts and look up at Peter.
"Hey." I say back and he smiles.
"I'm off. Come with me."
"What?"
"I want to show you something." He says practically pulling me from the booth with a laugh.
"Okay okay." I say following him out of the coffee house. We climb into his truck and I sigh as he starts off.
~~
"Alright, now open your eyes." He says releasing my hands. I open my eyes and smile brightly at the ice skating rink.
"Oh my gosh! How'd you know I loved iceskating!?"
"The way you glided around the studio that night, I knew there was more too it then just dancing." He says and I smirk as he pulls me along behind him. There's only like two other couples here.
"Not a lot of people know about this place."
"Makes it that much better." I say as we get our rentals and put them on. We get onto the ice and I'm impressed at how good he actually is.
"Ice hockey?" I question and he nods.
"For six years." He says and I smirk as he does a spin.
"What about you? How'd you learn how to skate?"
"My mom. She taught me and my sister when we were very young. Mine morphed into dance in the end. My sister however, never really got into dancing."
"Ah. What's your favorite style?"
"Hmm it's between hip hop and contemporary."
"Two very opposing themes." He says and I laugh nodding.
"I love them both though. One shows strength and ferocity, the other shows the slower side, our more vulnerable states. Two very opposing sides, but they both mold together to make up a person."
"I adore your insight." He says and I laugh.
"Well, thank you." I say and he smirks as the music playing around the rink grows louder.
"Show me your skating skills." He says and I laugh.
"Want me to dance for you?" I ask and he smirks.
"Skate." He corrects and I laugh.
"The only difference, one's on ice." I say then spin away. He follows behind me as I take off twisting and twirling to the music. I jump into the air and land kicking one leg out behind me and throwing my arms out to the side. I tuck and lower to the ground spinning until I come back up and spin to a stop. I hold my hands out and he along with the other couples, clap and I laugh taking a mini bow then skating over to Peter.
"That was good. I'll give it to you, I'm impressed." He says and I laugh staying beside him as we continue to circle the rink.
"Is there anything you can't do?" He asks and I shrug.
"I haven't done everything." I say biting my lip then spinning away. He catches up to me easily and I laugh as we do a few more rounds then skate over to the entrance. We make it out then flop onto the seat and I blow out a breath.
"I can't remember the last time I've had that much fun." I say unlacing the skates.
"You looked like you were having a blast dancing the other night. You looked free. Just like when you were skating just now."
