Later that night I lay on my back, staring up at the ceiling of Peter's room. He let me share his bed again for the night, but that didn't keep the nightmares away. If anything, they were even more intense then before. He snores gently beside me as I keep my arms crossed over my chest. I slowly sit up and hug myself on the side of the bed.

"Rosalie?"

"Hmm?" I ask as he pushes hair over my shoulder.

"Your tense." He says and I nod.

"Nightmare." I mumble catching his hand against my shoulder. I feel him sit up and I lean back against him holding onto his arm.

"Just remember it's not real. He can't hurt you anymore. Nobody can." He whispers into my ear.

"You're right." I whisper and he nods putting his chin on my shoulder. His breath tickles my cheek and I don't dare move or push him away, I need his comfort and warmth.

"Go back to sleep." He says and I nod then lay down. He runs his fingers down my back and I snuggle into the pillow.

Maybe I'll actually get some sleep tonight.

He continues running his hand up and down my back and I sigh into the pillow. My attention is caught by the papers and I stare at them as his hand stops moving as he falls back asleep. I gently get out of the bed. I look over my shoulder to be sure he's still asleep, then grab them. Unfolding them, I read through the fine print and rub my face staring at the numbers. This is insane. My phone starts to ring and I quickly grab it and answer.

"Hello?" I whisper

"I said we'd be in touch."

"Mr Chambers." I whisper leaving the room.

"I hope you have some good news for me." I say crossing my arms and looking out the window.

"Well, Josh has been found."

"Yeah, he's found me several times already."

"Has he threatened you?"

"Ya know, here and there. I need this money gone Ethan. I don't want it, I don't want this lifestyle-- always scared."

"You can give it back to the bank."

"No, that'll just cause more problems."

"What do you plan to do with it then?" He asks.

"Honestly, I don't know. All I know is that I can't keep it around anymore. It's putting someone I care about in jeopardy." I mumble looking over at Peter's door.

"He's going to keep coming."

"Not much will be able to come from it if I don't have the money anymore. I'll figure it out. Just keep eyes on Josh so I can take care of this without him popping up." I say

"Alright."

"Thanks." I say then hang up. I look down at the papers and fold them up. Christmas is in three days, and I'm definitely not spending it with Josh.
