Getting to know the enemy

I followed the boy out and saw Lei talking to an older man. I scowled at the men. I felt like a prisoner and I hated it. The bonus of being a Sagittarius, you hated being held against your own will. I sat down next to Lei and the boy sat next to me.

I rolled my eyes and looked at the fire the had going. Think of an escape Nina! I looked around and saw that the boy and the man had their dart blowing contraptions around their neck. Shiznezzly.

The boy cleared his throat and I looked at him. He had a smirk on his face.

"Did it hurt?" He said. I tilted my head in confusion.

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven I mean" he said with a smile. I just stared at him before replying.

"No....but I did scrape my knee crawling from hell" I said. He looked at me before shifting his gaze to the fire.

"Don't ever flirt with me again if you want what's best for you" I said. He looked at me and grinned innocently.

"But you are what's best for me" He said leaning closer to me. I pushed his head away and groaned. He's not gonna give up. He looked at me.

"What's your name?" He said. I looked at him like he was crazy. Nope don't wanna tell him.

"Oh come on...pleeease?" He said giving me puppy dog eyes. Sweet cheese and crackers my weakness! I looked away.

"Stop giving me those eyes." I said. He leaned on my shoulder and continued to give me puppy dog eyes.

"Fine, I'm Nina and she's Lei" I said pointing at Lei. He grinned and stood up extending a hand. "I'm Zane" He said shaking my hand. Nice to know ya Snake. I gave a fake smile and turned my attention to the fire.

"How old are you?" He said. My goodness he's determined to keep this conversation going! I looked at him rolled my eyes.

"I'm 14" I said. I looked back at Lei who was still talking to the man. I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Well I'm 15, and that man over there is my dad he's 36 and his name is Gab" Zane said. Useful information. I looked back at him and flashed him a winning smile.

"Guess what!"I said. He looked at me and smiled also. "What?" He asked.

"I don't care" I dropped my smile. He looked at me and frowned. He rolled his eyes and looked away.
