*Taneeka's pov*
I walk through LA knowing he lives here. You wanna know who? Daniel Seavey. My high school and child hood crush. We grew up in Vancouver together until that one day he left. After he made a promise that was promised to never be broken.
*flash back*
I sit on the roof with Daniel beside me.my heart skips a beat as I see his phone buzz. He leaves for a tour again today and I wasn't ready to see him leave.
"Daniel. Are you going to forget me when you become famous?" I look up at him
"We will grow famous together Taneeka. I promise" he looks into my eyes
"Do you promise to not break that promise Seavey?" I grab his pinky
"I promise Rose" that was my nickname for him since it was my middle name.
He presses his lips to my forehead and climbs to his feet.
"I have to go on tour now....I will miss you Rose" he pulls me up and wraps his arms around me
"I will miss you Seavey" I pull him closer
He lets go and slide off the roof. I follow him and swing into my room. He jumps into the tree and climbs down to the ground.
"I promise Rose I will come back for you" he yells as he runs
"Hurry" I whisper
Well guess what. He never came back. He formed a band and never messaged me or called me. Three promises were broken that day. I could never forgive him. I spent a whole year sitting on my balcony every afternoon and morning waiting to see that tooth gap smile I yearned to see. I would leap to my feet every time a car drive past. His house never changed apart from his room being untouched. His parents were always at work and always on the phone to him. I would listen to his voice as they talked to him and one day they said about me.
"Have you talked to Taneeka recently Danny?" I heard his mothers voice
My heart leaped out of my chest and then it breaks.
"Who is that?" My heart shatters and I sink to the ground
He didn't even remember me. The boy I grew up with for 17 years forgot about me over the span of a year.
*end flashback*
I walk into the grove and walk towards the candy store. Then I see Logan. My heart skips a beat and I see a unknown guy with noodle hair talking to him. He was short but not too short. I grab my phone and go onto Daniel's account. I freeze as I realise this boys name is Jack and he was a band member. I walk towards the boy and then I see Daniel.
"Danny?" My heart stops
"Uh" Daniel frowns at me
"Taneeka. You knew me as Rose" I push a baby hair behind my ear.
"Nope sorry I don't know you" he shrugs and turns back to the boys
"Asshole" I spit and walk off
I walk home and sink into my bed. My heart breaks as my phone buzzes saying he posted a photo. I like the post then throw my phone and cry myself to sleep.
