*Daniel's pov*
She hasn't come out of her room for weeks. When she does she looks half dead and she grabs a apple or a carrot and then disappears back into her room. No one can get her to talk or eat proper food and it hurts to know I'm the reason for all of this.
"Daniel bro you okay?" Zach frowns and nudges me
"Yeah I'm all good" I nod
"You sure you keep staring at Taneeka's room" he nods his head at her closed door
"Just worried" I shrug
"About?" Zach smirks
"Her" I look at the room again and then the doorknob turns
It opens and she walks out wearing sweat pants and a long jumper even though it was boiling outside.
"Good God" I whisper to myself
I stand up and her hand freezes on the fridge handle.
"Taneeka" I walk towards her
Her lip starts to quiver and her eyes start to dart around the room as if to be looking for a escape route.
"Please listen to me" I close the kitchen door trapping her in with me.
"I know I have been a horrible person....like when I was with Taylor and I ignored you....that was a dick move I understand....but please....please talk to me....talk to someone in this house" I put a hand on her cheek and she shakes her head and a tear rolls down her cheek
"Please Taneeka I miss having you around....you used to be so happy" I sigh and pull her to my chest
Finally a heart wrenching sob flies out of her mouth and she sinks into my arms. I hum lightly and rub her back as she cries.
"DANIEL" I turn and see Anna
"ANNA!" I yell
Taneeka pulls away and then my mother pops into the kitchen.
"DANIEL....oh my god Taneeka" she rushes over to Taneeka and her hands place themselves on her cheeks
"Oh honey" Mum whimpers
A smile makes its way into Taneeka's lips and she glimpses at me.
"You are making me worried sick" mum sighs and pushes a hair behind her ear
Anna hugs me quickly and then rushes around talking to everyone else.
"Hey" Taneeka croaks out once my sister and mum disappear into the house
"How are you?" I sit down
"Halfway happy" she pushes a hair behind her ear and sits down next to me
"I'm sorry" I whisper
"It's not your fault Daniel" she rolls her eyes
"Still the sarcastic and bitchy Taneeka I love" I chuckle
"Loved" She whispers
"Taneeka I still love you....if you love me too then that will make me the happiest man alive" I put my hand on top of hers
"Of course I'm in love with you Daniel....I stuck with you through all the horrible girlfriends and the hook ups and then drunk Daniel....why would I stop loving you after 17 years?" She whispers
My heart erupts into fireworks and I pick her up and spin her around.
"I love you Rose" I smile
"I love you too Blue" she murmurs
I press my lips against hers and she smiles against mine but pulls me closer.
