It takes a lot of courage to ask someone out for coffee to apologise for  not accepting their apologies.

Wow that was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I had no idea what I was doing but none the less I did it.

I went to the hospital. Looked for Adam.

As soon as he saw  me, his eyes bore into mine before he turned his face and pretended like he never saw me.

Argh.

This was gonna be harder than I thought.

I walked cautiously towards him. He had his  back towards me. I was so focused on walking towards his direction that I didn't notice the floor was wet and that there was even a :FLOOR IS WET sign.

You can leave it up to me to make an effortless fool of myself as I landed on my face.

It was quiet for like a minute but it felt like a million years.

I tried to get up slowly as a lady nurse came to my aid.

And guess who had a wide grin on his face as he approached me?

Exactly.

I felt my face heat up with embarrassment as I stared at anything around except him. I just wanted to pretend like this did not happen. I covered my face with my palms  but I felt someone sit beside me.

"You had quite an entrance,"a familiar voice said. "Or should I say ,an impressive landing." I could see his attempts at suppressing his laughter when  I looked up at him.

"Ha ha ha!" I pretended to laugh. "For your information, the floor attacked me."

Before I knew it, he burst out laughing. It took him four straight minutes to stop. I still don't understand why he thought I was hilarious.

He  gave me his handkerchief to wipe off some water on my face. For a second I really thought he was caring .

Nop. He was rude to you remember ? My subconscious kicked in.

"Did you come here for something?"he asked returning my thoughts back to earth.

I stayed silent.

Not that I was tongue tied but because I wasn't sure I wanted to do this anymore.

"Okay, I have work to do. See you later."he got up looking a little upset.

Is he bipolar or something?

"Well, I actually came to apologies for my rude behaviour, the other day when you called. I know you had good intentions. I was hoping we could have coffee together and call it a truce."

There! I said it.

Silence.

Silence.

I realised this whole time I was staring at the floor that had decided to hi five my face a while ago.

He cleared his throat.

I looked up to stare at those brown eyes. He smiled and sat next to me again.

"Sure, I'm up for that. But it's your treat," he said.

I couldn't help but giggle.
