Lylas prov...

"Lyla?" Kaleb asked me

"Yes?" I asked him.

It had been about five years since dad had left and me and Kaleb were renting an apartment together.

That was as far as it had gone in or relationship nothing even close to the time at the hotel.

"Can I ask you something?" He asked.

"You just did" I pointed out.

"Oh.....ya....well another" he said.

He came around the table and stood I front of me.

"Wait...not here" he said.

He grabbed my hand and we went to the truck.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see" he said

He drove for about twenty minutes until we came to a beautiful lake.

"Kaleb what's going on?" I asked.

"Just....stand there" he said as he directed me to a spot overlooking the lake.

"Okay" I agreed.

I stood there waiting while he got something out of the truck.

The sun was just setting and I was watching as the clouds slowly turned from dark blue and white to pink and purple.

It was an amazing view.

"Close your eyes" he told me.

I did and I heard him walk over to me.

"Okay open'em" he told me.

"Kaleb!" I shouted and my hands sprung to my mouth.

He was in front of me kneeling on one knee.

"I have know you for five wonderful years. I know so much about you and I think it's time to take the next step, so, Lyla Elizabeth Who, Will you marry me?" He asked.

"YES! Yes oh Kaleb yes I will!" I shouted.

I waited for him to get up and then I practically jumped on him.

He twirled me around.

He set me down and gently kissed me.

"SHE SAID YES!" He shouted to the onlooking people.

Everyone clapped.

I was blushing and grinning from ear to ear.

He put the ring on my finger and kissed me again.

"Now we have to plan this" he said.

"What if he doesn't come?" I asked.

We were arm in arm and walking back to the truck.

"He will" Kaleb said.

"Kaleb, it's been five years" I was worried that my own Dad wouldn't make it.

"My parents probably won't come either" he shrugged.

He unlatched the back of the truck and we both climbed in and laid down.

"Arnt you happy?" He asked.

"Why do you ask?" I said.

"You're crying" he pointed out.

I ran my hand across my cheek.

I was crying.

"I'm happy I'm gonna get married but I know that Dad probably won't be there" I said.

I felt more tears stream down my face.

"Hey, hey, hey now" he griped my in a tight hug.

"I miss him" I cried.

"It's okay" he reassured me.

We laid thee for a few minutes, hugging.

"We don't have to get married right now, if you don't want to" Kaleb suggested.

"No! I want to, dad either comes or doesn't" I sat up.

There was silence.

"Let's go home" I said and got down and into the front.

He packed up the things and then joined me.

I didn't want him to see my crybaby face so I looked out the window.

"It was just so fun traveling with him" I said.

"I bet" Kaleb said.

The rest of the drive was in silence.

We got home and just laid on the couch, watching tv
