"Lyla?" Dad asked.

He was standing in the door way of my room.

I was doing my hair.

Kaleb was sitting on my bed watching and telling me about his family.

"What?" I asked sternly.

"I want to talk to you.....alone" he said and motioned towards Kaleb.

Kaled looked from me, to The Doctor, then back to me.

"Go on" I mouthed to him.

He got up and left.

"Lyla I want to talk to you about Kaleb" Dad said and sat where Kaleb was.

"There's nothing to talk about" I said.

I continued to brush my hair.

"I want you to stay with him" Dad explained.

"He's coming with us" I twirled around in my chair and faced him.

"No, you're staying here" Dad said.

"What?" I shouted.

"It safer here Lyla, you can settle down, have a family, not have to worry about tomorrow being your last" The Doctor told me.

He fiddled with his hands.

"Daddy, no" I said.

"Yes! You will stay here with Kaleb. He can give you everything you need, that's why I brought you here, not just to pay off a debt, to make sure you're safe" Dad practically shouted.

"Dad-" I started to say but he interrupted.

"No! Listen to me! You're staying here!" He yelled.

"Pack your things" he said as he walked out the room.

Kaleb came back in.

"Haven't seen my dad in a while, it'll be nice" he said.

I sighed.

"I don't want to go" I started to cry.

I ran to Kaleb and he wrapped me in a hug.

"The Doctor says it's for the best" Kaleb said as he gently ran his fingers through my recently brushed hair.

"I still don't want to" I sobbed.

"I know" he said.

We stood there and hugged for a few minutes longer.

"Guess I better pack then" I wiped the tears away.

I broke away from Kaleb and went to my closet.

"I'll help....if you want me to" Kaleb offered.

"Sure" I said as I dug around for my duffle-bag

I pulled it out of the closet and opened it.

"Whoa, bigger on the inside, just like the TARDIS" he exclaimed.

"Yep, made by Time-lords" I said.

It was bigger on the inside.

If I needed to I could fit everything from my room into it, well anything that could get through the opening.

"Cool" he said.

"If it fits the ought the opening, I'm taking it with" I told him.

I grabbed shirts of the hangers and dropped them in the bag.

"What all do you need?" He asked looking around.

"I dont know, if it fits just throw it in and I'll take it with" I said and dropped in a pair of pants.
