Chapter 24:

Taehyung anticipated her return but she hadn't came. Or the next day. Or the next day, sparking the boys' worry as well.

"Jungkook?" Jin asked, "You were with her last weren't you? I already asked Bang PD but he said this was unknown absence."

"I... she was fine last time I saw her. We went out for ice cream and visited her mom and she smiled the whole day basically." Jungkook said, "Im worried. She hasn't been answering either."

Taehyung stayed quiet.

"...is what happened getting to her?" Jimin asked.

Jungkook shook his head, "That's not it."

"Then what is it..." Jimin asked sighing as he rubbed his forehead in concern. "What if we visit her mom-"

The door to the break room opened with a soft click, they saw Hyejin carrying her board and things after picking up one of her pens she left at the break room and leaving without a word.

(You know what I mean.)

The three looked at each other, confused themselves. Something was definitely up.

"I'll go talk to her-" Taehyung said.

"No. I have a feeling it's your fault." Jimin said. "I'll go-"

"Let me-"

The three argued until Hyejin came back inside. Her eyes were brighter and more beautiful than when she was 'pretty'. And there was this... charm pouring out of her. Like 'inner beauty'? What was it no one could put their finger on it.

She took her time writing on the board, having trouble with finding the words for some reason, and they could tell because of the smears on the board,

I'm sorry. I needed a break. I'm sorry I worried you all. I'm fine now.

It didn't sound like Hyejin for some reason. Perhaps they were expecting

But something about her beautiful eyes gave off a sadness.

"Hyejin. You're not fine. Remember what we talked about? There's something obviously wrong and you won't tell. It was Taehyung wasn't it."

She glanced at him and quickly looked away. She shook her head.

She wrote, tears threatening again, which is why she didn't wear her brown colored contacts. They all began to say stuff, but then she held up a hand to stop them.

She got a water and quickly left.
