"So do you want to go to this party with me tonight? Hayley invited me, so im sure you're welcome to come?" Iris asked, picking at her slice of pineapple pizza.

Her and Gerard were sitting outside in the grass. Gerard wove small flowers into her bright green hair. "Eh, probably not." He shrugged, inspecting a purple flower before adding it to the rest.

Iris made a weird noise- something between groaning and choking- and looked towards him, her blue eyes glaring into his hazel ones. "It's already been a couple weeks, Gee! You need to at least take me up on one offer. I feel like you just....don't like me." She said with a small frown, making Gerard shake his head quickly.

"'course not Iris, I love hanging out with you, I just am not a big fan of like... Parties and stuff, ya know?" He said.
She sighed, shaking her head slightly. "C'mon, Frank'll be there!" She said. Suddenly, a person plopped down next to Gerard. "I heard my name." Frank said, flashing Gerard a charming smile.

"Frankie! Convince Gee to come out with us tonight." Iris demanded. Frank looked between her and Gee before smiling again.

"Leave the boy alone, if he doesn't want to come, he shouldn't have to." He said, making Iris groan loudly. Frank leaned close into Gerard. "But just between you and me, it would be a shit load of fun." He said with a wink, making Gerard flush.

"Okay, alright, I'll think about it." Gerard told them, making them both cheer. "Great, we'll pick you up at 7."

The bell rang, and all too soon, gerard was back at home. Sitting on his bed while he waited for frank and Iris to get there. His whole body shook with nerves as he looked over his outfit for the millionth time.

He was dressed in a loose black tee shirt with black jeans, his jet black hair combed to the side.

Nice clothes? Check.

Combed hair? Check.

Confidence? Lacking.

He fiddled with his shoe laces a bit before tying them, and then there was a knock on his door.

"I'll get it, I'll get it!" He shouted, running to the door before any of his family could and embarrass him. Iris stood there, dressed in all black like usual. She gave Gerard a wide smile, pulling him into a hug.

"Hey Gee! You ready?" She asked him. He replied by nodding quickly. "Yeah, let's get out of here." He said, not waisting any time before leaving.

They had to make a quick stop to get frank, who of course, flirted with Gerard the whole way to the party.

Once they got there, The three walked into the house, Iris in the lead with Frank and Gerard standing close by.
She led them over to a couch where Vic and Kellin were sitting

"Hey Gee." Kellin said with a smile. Gerard smiled back, "hey guys."

"Hey Iris." Someone called out, "Hayley is here." Iris nodded, a big grin forming on her face. "I'll be back." She said, kissing Gees cheek before leaving.

Frank plopped down on the ground, Patting his lap and winking at Gerard, who just shook his head and sat down next to him.

"So Gee," Vic started. "Fall in Love with frankie yet?" He teased, making Gerard flush. "Hey, it's not his fault I'm extremely good looking and charming." Frank said, bowing obnoxiously.

"Is that what you call yourself now?" Kellin asked. "Fuck off, bitch." Frank snapped, but was smiling at his friend. Some guy came over, offering frank what looked to Gerard like a blunt, and for a split second frank looked like he was going to turn it down, but he took it giving the guy a small thanks.

Gerard watched, infatuated as frank took a hit. How could someone look so good while doing something bad. Frank caught his gaze, smiling a bit as he blew the smoke from his lungs.

"You want?" He asked, offering him the blunt. Gerard shook his head quickly. Frank just shrugged, passing it to Vic. "Good, you don't need shit  that anyways." He mumbled. Before Gerard had a chance to question it, a man was kneeling in front of frank, pressing their lips together.

Frank let out a happy noise, wrapping his arms around the man. Gerard looked down, not wanting to invade whatever privacy they got from making out in front of everyone at a party.

Gerard got up suddenly, wandering into the kitchen. "Hey." Someone spoke. Gerard turned around, sighing as it was just Iris. "Hey." He smiled, "where'd you go?" I asked her. "Oh nowhere, I had to talk to Hayley about some things." She brushed it off. "You hungry? I can find something for us to snack on." She said, as she began rummaging through the cabinets. "Who lives here?" Gerard asked. Iris simply shrugged, throwing a bag of chips into the counter.

"You a got girlfriend or boyfriend, Gee?" Iris asked after a moment of silence. A small smile played on Gerard's lips before he answered. "Margot." He whispered. "She was my girlfriend before I moved." He explained, nibbling on a chip. "Oh? Did you break up because of the move?" She asked. Gerard shook his head. "No, uh, she killed herself." He said. Iris froze, looking up at him in shock. "Oh Gee." She started, her voice cracking. "That's so sad, I'm sorry." She whispered. He nodded, smiling at her a bit. "Yeah, I really wish she would have just left a note or something, ya know?" Gerard mumbled. Iris nodded, opening her mouth before shutting it again. "Hey, let's get back to the party, shall we?" She asked, taking his hand before leading him back downstairs.

Frank and the mystery man were no longer making out. Now mystery guy sat where Gerard was sitting moments before, his arm around Franks shoulders.

"Hey Frank... Can I talk to you." Iris asked quietly. Frank immediately got up, walking towards her, while Gerard stood awkwardly between his new friends and who he assumed was Franks boyfriend.

"I'm Logan, Frank's boyfriend." Mystery guy said.

Ah there it is.

Gerard smiled awkwardly, holding his hand out for Logan to shake, which he was proud of himself for - he never initiated those sorts of things. Logan took his hand, looking Gerard up and down.

"I'm Gerard." He told him. "Well Gerard, I-"

"Hey guys, can we get your attention." Frank spoke above the crowd, gaining almost everyone's stares.

"I just want to make a toast, to our new friend Gerard. Gee, you see things differently than everyone else, and we love that about you." Frank said with a smile, handing a drinkless Gerard a cup before holding up his own.

"To Gee!" Frank shouted, downing his drink, everyone else doing the same.

Gerard smiled, drinking what was in his glass without question, and for the first time in his life, he felt okay.
