Gerard's heart stopped as all four teenagers looked at each other worriedly.

How the fuck is everyone still asleep?

"Gee, answer the door." Frank whispered harshly. "Why me?!" He whispered back. "Because it's your house, idiot." He snapped.

Gerard had no time to be hurt, because the knocking on the door got louder. His feet were on autopilot as he walked the door.
He was half aware of his star wars pajama pants, but the embarrassment was the least of his worries.

He opened the door, and suddenly he was flooded with dread. Standing on the other side were two police officers.

"Hello, sorry to disturb you." One of the police officers said. She was tall with blonde hair pulled neatly into a bun on the back of her head.

"Hi.. can I help you?" He asked quietly, feigning calm, but his heart was beating out of his chest.

"We got a call about some kids down the road, spray painting. We followed them here, are they in here?"

"Uhh.. no." He answered calmly. "They stopped by but left quickly, none of them would tell me what they were doing." Neither one of them looked like they believed him.

"Really? Can we take a look?" The other police officer asked. He was older, probably in his 50s and tall as well with tan skin and dark hair.

"Do you have a warrant?" Gerard asked impatiently. The police officers looked at each other before the girl sighed. "Can you tell me who they were?"

Gerard's eyes flicked nervously to his feet and back up at them before shaking his head.

"Lying to the police is illegal." The guy spoke. Gerard looked at him for a moment.

"I didn't even know who two of them were. I had never met them before... But the third.." he trailed off.

"The third?"

"Frank Iero."

The moment the words left his mouth he regretted it. And the moment he fucking noticed the name tags on their vests, he regretted it even more.

Glinting in the porch light was a laminated tag that read iero clipped to the man's vest.

Fuck.

"Alright." The woman spoke. "Thanks for your time." And with that, they left.

Gerard let out a breath as soon as the door shut, but then he was met with three glares. They heard it all.

"Frank..." He spoke softly. "Don't." Frank cut him off. "I don't know what I did to piss you off, but I hope youre happy now." Frank said, he wasn't trying to hide the hostility in his voice before he pushed past him, going somewhere else in the house.

Frank wanted nothing more than to leave the house, but he wasn't stupid. His dad would be waiting up for him.

He found a random empty room and went in, sitting down in the bed.

All it took was one breath in to recognize the smell, and realize whose room it was.

"Fuck." He grumbled, going to stand up when a small figure appeared in the door way, clutching what looked like a bunny stuffed animal.

"Gee." Mikey whispered. "Not Gee." Frank said, making Mikey jump slightly before smiling.

"Frankie." He whispered, going over to him, immediately laying down next to him.

"Hi buddy." Frank smiled at him. He didnt know what it was, he only met the kid twice, but he already felt so protective for the little boy. It was probably the brotherly love he had no chance to express with his lack of siblings.
