My attitude changed, when I received the phone call about my new job. I felt better. It seemed like impossible, that I will be moving out from this small town, where I lived since I was born.
Linda came to my desk at the office with big smile on her face.."..Hi Michaela.." I took my eyes of the computer screen and looked at her.
"What are you doing?" - What does it look, that I'm doing stupid?
"Working on the inventory.."
Linda looked around the office. "What are you doing on Thursday?"
"I'm in the work..as always.."
"O.k." She walked away.
It turned out that they planned my Good-bye party..They bought balloons, drinks and some food to celebrate. I mean - Hello? - I got fired. I'm not leaving, because i found new better job or because i will have baby soon..I've been fired..Especially my Boss, who was smiling and giving me hugs and warm wishes.
I walked out of the office with bags filled with alcohol - they assumed that I will be drinking myself out of my miseries, some box 0f chocolates - I will need some sugar to covered my nerves and candles - candle is the most easy and the most terrible gift - I mean I like candles, but still..
Looking for the place in Capital was on the other hand harder..There was many ads in newspapers and on Internet, but the prices were crazy. So I figured out I will have to share place with some roommate...I called few places,but one girl was living with like ten cats and the in the other place lived two boys - not a good idea.
While I was surfing on-line Jacob called me.
"..Hey Stranger..did not hear from you for few days. I was wondering if you made if.."
"Sorry..I was way to busy..I just left my job and got a new one.."
He asked about my new job and sounded really happy for me - not sure what did I tell him in my drunk cloud.
"..My friend Roxanna is living in Capital, i think she her boyfriend just moved out..Let me call her and I will call you back.."
He called me back in couple of hours with good news. Roxanna was looking for roommate and the price she asked was working for me too,
"..She is a cool head. Great girl.." Jacob gave me her number to call her.
"Hey and do not forget to call me too sometimes.."
"Thank you Jacob."
I had job, i had place to stay and I bought bus tickets on-line..only thing, which was left to do was to tell my mom...
