The next days are the same, they go to work together, attend meetings and Jeongguk's employees get to know Taehyung more and more. They wonder what the future CEO of Kim Corporation is doing in their company but they never ask.
There are times when Jeongguk is very busy and Taehyung can't help him. The younger becomes moody and stressed, lets it out on his future fiancé. Fortunately, Taehyung isn't mad, knows how stressful it can get and tries to stay away from him in the meantime.
Jeongguk feels awful when they arrive their shared home. They sit in front of the television and watch a movie. "I'm so sorry Tae, I didn't mean to be rude to you. It's just that-"
Taehyung didn't let him finish, it's really not necessary to explain it. "Gguk, it's fine. I know that it can be too much sometimes and before you suppress your anger, it's better to let it out. Please don't worry I can handle it, know that you don't mean what you say."
Jeongguk bends over to him and pushes Taehyung's back so he'd lean forward. When the older does, he touches his shoulder blades.
"What are you doing?" Taehyung chuckles, finds it a bit weird.
"You must be an angel, I'm looking for your invisible wings." Jeongguk can't help but laugh at himself.
Taehyung doesn't know what to say, thinks that Jeongguk is too adorable for this world, his 'must protect' mood activates so he pulls him into a hug and squeezes him tightly.
After a few moments he find his voice again." You're the one who let me stay in your home without even knowing me, you're the one who helped a drunk stranger and took him home. If there's an angel, then it's you Gguk."
"Can we agree that we both are? I don't wanna argue with you." Jeongguk hugs him back, rearranges his body so the can continue watching the movie while cuddling Taehyung on the couch.
When they become tired two hours later, they turn the TV off. "Let me take you out tomorrow, you deserve it after everything." Jeongguk suggests after they got up.
"Oh okay, I won't say no to a bit free time with the busy and handsome CEO Jeon." Taehyung winks, knows very well that Jeongguk gets a bit shy when he compliments him.
"Handsome tch, have you seen yourself?" The younger waves it off playfully.
"Every day but I get tired of myself, I prefer to look at you." Taehyung doesn't know why he's flirting but he likes it, Jeongguk won't be mad or disgusted by it. The latter already hay told him that he's gay so it's nothing bad.
"Stop it, don't make me blush." Jeongguk covers his face as a joke and both start to giggle. They are like kids sometimes but that's what makes their new found friendship so perfect. They can be themselves in front of each other, don't have to pretend to be someone they aren't.
These are the times where Jeongguk really doubts his decision of lying to him, hopes that the other will forgive him when it eventually comes out.
"I'll write Yunhee an email to clear my schedule for tomorrow. You can sleep in until I wake you up with a breakfast in bed, how does that sound?" The young CEO has it all planned out already. First the romantic breakfast, then he'll take him to an art gallery because Taehyung had told him that he loves paintings.
"Perfect, you would be the perfect husband." Taehyung jokes, doesn't know how close to reality it is.
Jeongguk's smile disappears for a moment, that he was surprised would definitely be an understatement. "Uh oh, haha yes. Was this a proposal because I would say yes on the spot." He bites his bottom lip, hopes of a rather positive reaction from the older.
Unfortunately Taehyung doesn't answer immediately, it seems like he's thinking of something.
Taehyung is indeed deep in his thoughts. He almost forgot about the whole arrangement his parents made for him. The past days were a good distraction and he had started to like Jeongguk a bit too much. The younger has always been his role model and now after getting to know him privately, he may or may not is seeing him as more than just that. It's too early to say he's in love though but he's definitely getting there.
"Tae, did I say something wrong?" Jeongguk shakes his shoulder after he didn't react to the calls of his name.
"Huh? Oh, no no. Everything is peachy." Taehyung closes his eyes in embarrassment, who the fuck says peachy?
"That's good, for a moment I thought that I went too far, you know because of what you've told me but I'm glad everything is peachy." He chuckles making the older pout.
Taehyung forgot that he has told him about the marriage. "Ah yeah but it's really okay, don't worry. Let's go to bed now. Sleep well Ggukie." He gives the slightly smaller a tight hug before he enters his room.
Jeongguk lays down with a sigh. There's still a long way to go, Taehyung hates the thought of getting married or maybe it's just the thought of not being able to choose his partner on his own.
He's sure the older will think that everything was planned out - their meeting and Jeongguk's suggestion to live with him. Well, it's not completely wrong but their first encounter really was coincidentally.
Jeongguk needs to tell him the truth before he'd find it out through someone else. He just doesn't know when and especially, how.
Taehyung on the other hand is disappointed in himself, he could clearly see the hurt in Jeongguk's eyes. Hopes that the younger won't think that he hates the thought of marrying him.
Maybe he can hint it from time to time that he's totally not opposed by the thought, yes, he'll just do that.
Both fall asleep not long after, it was an exhausting day - physically and mentally.
