They eventually part, eyes still closed and their breathing faster than usual.
Nobody says a word for a while, Taehyung is the first to open his eyes and licks his own lips. It feels surreal but Jeongguk is right in front of him, lips glistening with spit and slightly swollen. He doesn't regret kissing him, would do it again right away but is afraid that more could happen, they both aren't ready for yet.
He sees Jeongguk's eyelids moving. "Hey there." His voice is soft, barely audible. Taehyung doesn't want to scare him in case Jeongguk regrets everything.
"Hi Hyung." The younger is shy, it was expected.
Taehyung swears he can see him blushing but it also could be because of the kiss, he himself feels hot too.
"How are you feeling?" The older wants to make sure Jeongguk is okay.
"Good, really fucking good." Comes the immediate reply.
"I'm glad Gguk, I was afraid you'd regret it." Taehyung pecks his lips.
"Oh God no, never. The only thing I regret is that we haven't done it earlier." Jeongguk chuckles lightly, they're still so close.
It takes Taehyung off guard but he likes it. "So you wanted to kiss me before?"
"Many times but I'm a coward." This time Jeongguk's the one who steals a kiss, lingers longer than the older did.
Taehyung sighs. "We should probably stop or else we will go too far."
Even if the CEO hates it he agrees. "Yeah, are you hungry?"
A growl of Taehyung's stomach gives him the answer and they laugh.
Jeongguk orders Italian food that arrives soon after. They get comfortable on the couch and start eating.
The day ends with cuddles in front of the TV and small kisses here and there. They didn't put a name on their relationship yet, too early to bring it up.
The next few days aren't different. In Jeongguk's office they make out more often than not but stop every time it gets too heated.
At home it's more difficult because no one is threatening to disturb them but they manage it somehow to part when the touches become too intimate.
Jeongguk can't explain how happy he is but the lie always overshadows it.
Taehyung knows that he needs to tell his parents to stop the arranged marriage because he wants to try with Jeongguk who's a successful CEO too. Maybe they'll have a chance if their relationship gets more serious.
It's been two weeks since their first kiss and Jeongguk hasn't talked to his own father yet. The problem is that Taehyung is always with him. They even share a bed now so it was impossible to call him at night because Jeongguk didn't want to get out of his - hopefully - soon-to-be fiancé's arms.
"Baby, can we make popcorn for the movie night?" Taehyung looks through the blue-rays while Jeongguk prepares the couch with pillows and fluffy blankets.
"Sure, you can make whatever you want Hyung. I've bought a few packages yesterday."
The older gets up, places his chosen movie on the table and grins. "Good, I'm craving these sweet corns." And makes his way to the kitchen.
Jeongguk's phone rings and he's fast to answer the call when he sees the name on the display. "Hey dad." He whispers, takes a glance to where Taehyung has disappeared.
"Son, it's been a while. How are you both doing?" His father sounds concerned, the last time they had talked, Jeongguk was conflicted because of the lie.
"Really good, I think I can call him my boyfriend now. We kissed the day after we talked last, do you remember that I've told you about the date? It happened that day." Jeongguk has to keep his voice down but it's really difficult when he's so happy.
"That's great Gguk, you deserve it. What's your next step now? Shall I talk to Mister Kim that it's going according to our plan?" Mister Jeon only wants the best for him and Taehyung so he will do as his son wishes.
"Dad, I don't know how I can tell Tae the truth. He'll be so mad and I don't wanna lose him but I don't wanna lie to him anymore either." The young CEO pouts while speaking and it's clearly audible.
"Don't worry, he'll forgive you if he loves you enough. Just give him the time when he needs it, don't pressure him." His father knows how hard it will be for him but also for Taehyung. The trust will be damaged but it's too late now.
Jeongguk and his dad talk for a little longer, his mother also wants to know how they're doing so he tells her how happy he is.
Little did they know that the older was listening to their conversation, unsure if he's getting it correctly. Taehyung decides to ask him but not right now. Maybe he can make Jeongguk spill it on his own.
When the younger hears that Taehyung is going to come back he ends the call.
"Hey, what took you so long?" It's a simple question, one the other can't answer honestly so he just shrugs and places the popcorn on the table.
Taehyung is debating whether to tell him or not that he has heard him talking to someone about lying to him. Maybe it's a good start to give Jeongguk the chance to come clean with him. "Who was on the phone? I've heard you talking."
Jeongguk, who was about to grab a few corns, stilled in his action and looks to the side into Taehyung's eyes. "Oh, just my parents."
The older waits if there'll come more but it doesn't. He stands up and throws the pillow from his lap on the couch and stomps away to his room to pack his things.
