Chapter 1

Your P.O.V.
My sword clashed against another.
Bastards.
I gritted my teeth and pushed forward with my sword making my battler fall on to his back.
Quickly I slammed my foot on his plated chest and slit his throat with my sword.
I smirked that's what you get for commencing war on my village!
But my smirk disappeared with a pained look.
A sword had been sliced right through my leg, making my knees bucked and I fell to the ground.
"DONT TOUCH HER!!!" Shouted my loyal friend Pet.
She swung her sword at my attacker.
He started running with Pet chasing after him.
Soulless bastards.
It was a peaceful day, I was one of the top guards in my village.
I was spending time with friends and family, when a big cannon was formed making a huge explosion.
Half my family was kill.. half my friends were killed, while my village was destroyed and burned in front of my eyes.
The lord ordered us to fight, all of us that were remaining by the cannons that is.
Now I lay on the blood soaked ground gritting and crying with shouts of pain.
My leg was cut.. badly.
Blood seeped out of it and made a puddle on the ground.
I groaned in pain.
Why did this have to happen of all days!?!
My husband, and children died in front of my eyes.
Their body's charred from fire.
I cried more at the memory.
It was in the past I can't think about it or it'll make me worse in battle, if I can even fight anymore..
Soon a heel of a foot dig into my neck making me yet out a yelp of pain.
I looked to see a lanky man with a helmet on, and armour.
He started repeatedly stepping on my neck making me spit out blood.
Everyone was fighting someone.. no one to help me.
My vision started spinning and black Specks began to take over my heart was beating fast.
Then, I heard a battle cry.
One that doesn't sound familiar.
A shiny sword soon appeared in the man that was kicking me, stomach.
Making his let out a shout of pain.
"GAHH!" He scream.
The sword slid out nicely and the man fell to the ground.
My vision was still spinning and now was blurry.
I was losing the grip on my leg and I felt weak.
I soon felt myself being lifted up.
My family is dead.
My friends are dead.
My village is dead.
And I feel like I'm dead.
My vision soon went black with the last thing I heard, "PUT HER DOWN!"
~~TIME SKIP~~
My eyes fluttered open, I was in a unfamiliar room.
On soft a bed, with the sun shining through the windows.
I sat up only to gain pain striking through me, making me grit my teeth.
"YOU'RE AWAKE!" Yelled the familiar voice of Pet.
She basically leaped out of no where by my side.
"Where am I!?!" I demanded.
She looked up with her crying face.
A few what looked to be stitched up cuts were on her face.
One went from her earlobe to the bitter of her eye, well visible eye.
"We're in Phoenix Drop." She said straightening herself out like the guard she is.
A stern look now on her face and her tears had faded.
"Phoenix Drop!?! We should be in Amethyst Falls!" I growled.
Amethyst (obviously made up) Falls was our village.
The one we served.
The one we were loyal to!
And I'm in this so called Phoenix Drop!?! What about Lord April!?
I shook my head and closed my eyes in annoyance.
Her most loyal guard now gone to another village!
She must be worried sick!
"Where are eyes other guards." I said sternly.
"In the infirmary or dead." Pet answered coldly.
"Lord April?" I asked.
"Dead." Pet answered.
My heart felt like it just shattered.
DEAD!?!
HOW COULD THIS BE!?!
If only I wasn't so pathetic! I could've been with her and protected her!
I'm such a useless guard!
I felt a tear escape my eyes, but I quickly wiped it away.
"Right." I said and stared at Pets face.
She didn't look at me, she was standing like a solider would.
Her back straight, facing forward and shoulders tight.
Her dark brown and faded red hair looked to be recently washed and dried.
Her tan skin was cut everywhere, her dark brown eyes were wide probably flashing back to all the stuff she's seen.
She was short but had a lot of strength physically and mentally.
I was an inch taller than the girl, with my H/C hair, E/C eyes, S/C skin, and I was pretty strong too, mentally and physically.
"Ok look, your awake." Said a soothing voice.
I shot my head towards it to see a tall man with sandy blonde hair and baby blue eyes that bore into mind.
He had a small smile, and wore a guards uniform, different form ours which Pet was wearing.
It would have an amethyst on the chest plate and the cape if any would be a dark purple.
Other than that it was the same.
"I'm Garroth, your Y/n, right?" Garroth asked.
I huffed and turned away from him, "Don't you know it's rude to interrupt a conversation?"
"Y/n ma'am, he was the  one who rescued you, please give mercy guard." Pet said in a weird like choice of words.
I glared at the tall muscular looking man.
HE was the one to rescue me!?!
Great.
Just hope you won't stay here long, Y/n.
I just need some answers.
