Millie's pov
"Happy Monday everyone!!! This week isn't going to be a normal week, this is why we have you all in the auditorium." The principal said. I leaned back in my seat, ready for a long speech.
"Okay, so every year, like always, we have a week where we partner you up with a person, but the person is either complete opposite of you, you don't have good history with, or you don't like each other. You will do this for the whole week, and by the end of the week, you should be friends with them. We try this every year to see what the outcome will look like, and we hope to find a good outcome. We have already picked your person, in your homeroom, there should be a sheet with your name on it, and the person you have for the week next to your name. Now, there are rules to this. First..." he continued, but I didn't listen. I was anxious for who my person was gonna be.
"Okay, you are all dismissed, go straight to homeroom, then 1st period." He said after the long speech, and everyone made their was to their homerooms. I got into mine last, and everyone looked at me. They all started to leave the classroom, and random people kept coming up to me, wishing me good luck. Oh no. I finally went up to my name, and saw who I was partnered with.
The one and only, Finn Wolfhard.
I walk to 1st period, and Finn has that class with me. I walk in, and I don't see Finn. I start to walk to my seat, but then I feel hands on my hips. They push in, and I scream, falling to the ground. I turn around, and it was Finn.
"Let me help you." He said, walking so where I can see him, and grabs my hand. He lifted me up, and I put faces got close together. He had to look down at me a little, because I was shorter than him. We kept our gaze, and he was still holding onto my hand.
"I'm glad you are my partner." He said, smiling. I looked away, breaking our eye contact. I felt my cheeks get warm, so I let go of his hand and walked to my seat. I smile slightly, and sat down.
"Okay guys, we are doing something completely different since this partner thing. So, get with a partner of your choice, and I will hand out a poem, and you guys have to figure it what goes where, according to Shakespeare We will be doing this the whole class period." She said. Everyone started to move around and get a partner, but I didn't move, because I usually don't go with a partner for these things, and my teacher doesn't mind. While I was doodling a flower on my paper I had put, I saw someone sit in front of me, but didn't look at them. I looked up after a second, and it was Finn.
"Let's be partners." He said, and I rolled my eyes, and went back to drawing. I felt him lightly kick my foot, then I set my pencil down, and looked at him.
"Okay. Fine." I said, before the teacher handed us the papers. I got up and sat next to Finn, so we can see each other's papers. He watched me as I did so.
"Okay, so we have to find the ridge of when you are supposed to spike the word up, making it louder." I said, and he nodded, looking at me. I started to do it, and circled each word that we were supposed to use. I stopped when I noticed he wasn't doing anything.
"You can stop staring at me and do this worksheet now, Finn." I said, looking over to him. He smiled as he started to work on the worksheet, and I just shook my head and smiled. After a while, we finished the worksheet, and I realized we still had a half hour of class left. Everyone was still working on it.
"So, I guess we are going to hang out all week, then." He said.
"I wonder if I can switch my partner." I said, and he laughed.
"You're stuck with me, better get used to it." He said, looking over to me. I rolled my eyes and got up, and went back to my seat. He was across from me now, looking at my arm. I noticed my sleeve was up a little more than usual, then quickly pulled it down.
